How big / what format is the Dell Inc. 0YJPT1 A00 from the XPS 8500. I want to buy a new tower so that i have more space, the quesion there is what mainboard format does it have to support.

Check both ends of the data cable for looseness. Check the power plug on the back of the DVD player too. If all is correct then the player itself has failed. It does happen.

You need to contact the motherboard manufacturer. I could only guess and that would not be a solution.

Did you just buy it new?
If so do you have at least 4GB of RAM? Hard drive 500MB or more?
What processor should be an Intel Pentium or a core processor i3, i5, or fastest is i7. All these things will help the speed.
How long have you had it? You may have to delete history in your web browsers. I like Chrome browser best.
