How do I change the input from analog to digital or optical on my Kenwood Kraft-v7772d? Thanks

To switch the input on your Kenwood KRF-V7772D receiver from analog to digital or optical, follow these steps:

Check the Manual: First, consult the user manual for detailed instructions specific to your model. If you don't have the manual, you can find it online. The manual provides step-by-step guidance on how to change inputs.

Input Selector Button: On the front panel of your receiver, look for the Input Selector button. It might be labeled as "Input," "Source," or something similar. Press this button to cycle through the available input sources.

On-Screen Menu: Some receivers allow you to change inputs using an on-screen menu. If your Kenwood receiver has this feature, navigate to the menu using your remote control. Look for an option related to input selection or source.

Remote Control: Use your remote control to directly select the desired input. Look for buttons labeled with input sources (e.g., "DVD," "CD," "TV," "Optical," etc.). Press the appropriate button to switch to the desired input.

Digital Inputs: If you want to switch to a digital input (such as optical or coaxial), ensure that your digital audio source (e.g., Blu-ray player, game console, etc.) is connected to the corresponding input on the back of the receiver. For optical input, connect the optical cable to the "Optical In" port.

Analog Inputs: If you prefer an analog input, connect your analog audio source (e.g., turntable, cassette player, etc.) to the appropriate analog input on the back of the receiver.

Remember to adjust the settings on your connected devices (e.g., TV, Blu-ray player) to output audio through the selected input on the Kenwood receiver. If you encounter any issues, refer to the service manual for further troubleshooting

I have the panasonic SC-HT400 receiver which I've connected to a bluray DVD player using an digital coaxial cable mainly because I have no other outputs on the blue ray dvd. As you know the Ht 400 does...

Press the SFC MODE switches at the same time to enter the "settings".
Change these settings to suit the connections you have made to the three digital input terminals, COAX, OPT1 and OPT2, so that the correct source is selected when you turn [INPUT SELECTOR].
The factory settings are: CD: COAX
DVD: OPT 2
TV: OPT 1

If you are allowed change them all to Coaxial. That should solve the sound problem.

Onkyo mute channels. When turned on, one or more channels remain mute. Acts like a contact problem; when switched on-off-on multiple times, mute channels may vary

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

The speakers are not connected properly. Check the speaker connections. The Mute function is activated. Turn off the Mute function. The volume is turned all the way down. Turn up the volume. Neither set of speakers is selected (if unit has A/B buttons to select sets of speakers). Press either A or B to select a set of speakers. Both sets of speakers are selected, but only one set is connected (if unit has A/B buttons to select sets of speakers). Press the appropriate button to deselect the speaker outputs which are not connected. The receiver is set to TAPE MONITOR (if applicable). Turn off TAPE MONITOR mode. Headphones are plugged into the main unit. Unplug the headphones. The source selector is set to the wrong source. Select the proper source. The impedance of the speakers is less than the rating for the system. Use speakers with the correct impedance rating.

Cannot enter system wizard in Dish Network VIP211k

Hey Jim,

I apologize for any confusion. Our 211k receivers don't have the system wizard option. That feature is on the 222k/722k/922/Hopper receivers.

Let's check out the remote to see what can be done! If the remote is no longer working, make sure there is nothing that can cause interference like a heat source near the receiver, or direct sunlight on the receiver. If that's all clear, try readdressing the remote. I have listed the steps below!

Addressing Remote to Receiver:

1.) Go to System Info screen.
2.) Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3.) Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4.) Press the pound (#) button.
5.) Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
6.) Test remote and see if it works.

If the problem continues, let me know and I will be happy to assist you further!

Our 2nd zone won't work, we get the error saying check SP wires. The wires seem connected correctly. We also can't change the volume on zone 2. The Yamaha unit is working otherwise.

Hi,

U cant get an amplified out put form ur av receiver for zone 2. speaker a A and B is the same out put of frond left and right. it is not ZONE 2 output. U can get only a pre output for zone to from this receiver. U nee a separate stereo amplifier for using zone 2 .put an amplifier in the other room, connect the zone 2 pre out to it. And do the following setup in ur av receiver .

The receiver shows check speaker cable because its amplifier minimum impedance is 8 ohms . when u connect other speaker in speaker the total impedance will come under 4 ohms. Speaker b is not ZONE 2 in this amplifier

Can hear volume on tv but cannot see picture...tv flickers like it wants to come on but it does not....screen is dark and continually shows hdmi like it wants to come on. the tv before would turn on after...

Many people who use A/V receivers use them to switch only the audio. ie, hook up all your video sources to the TV, and switch between these sources using the TV remote. Just connect the audio cables from your video gear to the Onkyo. The reason is that video signals are more susceptible to problems in A/V receivers than audio signals. better to connect the video sources directly to the TV.

You may want to ask for more clarification about this.

580ex off camera shuts down after a minute or so of standby

No and no, the flash is by default programed to shut off after 1 minute .If you were using the flash on-camera, the flash would automatically power itself on when camera activity is detected but when the flash is detached, it doesn't wake back up.
To change this you have to turn off the auto shut off in the flash menu:
1. Power the flash on
2. Hold down the back light /C.Fn button until "Fn 00 0" appears on the screen
3. Rotate the selector wheel until you see "Fn 01 0"
4. Press your selector button down so that the 0 begins flashing
5. Rotate your selector wheel to change the 0 to a 1
6. Rotate the selector to the "Fn 14 0" position and set it to 1

7. Press your selector button to save this parameter
8. Press your Mode button to return to the main screen

Now your flash stays on as long as the flash switch is turned on ON, and as long as you have juice in the batteries.

Do not forget to turn off the flash after you are done. You can reverse it anytime, but you have to read the manual for that..

Same setup can be found in the manual

Function Selector Bypasses Input Sources

Hopefully this post isn't too late... That receiver has the ability to disable certain inputs. The easiest thing to try is to do a factory reset.
1. Turn off the receiver
2. Hold down DISPLAY and PANEL UP/DOWN buttons and press power.
3. All Clear should appear on the screen.

Unfortunately, this clears out all of the other settings on your unit. It should, however, re-enable the inputs.

Let me know if this helps!

The source volume is too high or output from source is too powerful or the receiver is damaged. Try turning the volume down on the source device (cd player/dvd/satellite receiver etc) and recover the overall volume by turning the amp up. Also if the source device has any tone controls, return them to a flat setting, again using the amp to recover the sound richness.
