Question about Kenmore Elite Oasis 27052 Top Load Washer

1 Answer

F1 code comes on I checked the filter screens ,kinked hoses etc

I found a temporary fix by "looping" the hot water supply hose againest the wall in back of the washer-- that's correct almost kinking the hose -reset the timer etc and it works for a few loads -- I would like a permanant fix.

Hi

Unfortunately F1 is fatal error code on this machine and indicates that the control board will need to be replaced. This is a well documented error and the subject of much dissatisfaction amongst customers. See link:

I have code fh

Hey Lukec,

The FH error code on your Kenmore Elite washer indicats that there is a problem with in-coming water flow. When the water feeding the washer is less than what it should be, the FH code will trigger and the washer will shut down.

You can check a couple of common problems that can manifest this error code after resetting the machine. Steps for reset and diagnostics can be found below.

  1. Using the "Pause/Cancel" button on the washer control panel (this button will be below the digital time clock, to the lower right of the wash cycle selector) by pressing the "Pause/Cancel" button twice to cancel the wash cycle.
  2. Next, unplug the washer from the wall socket (this will reset the error code).
  3. Several things you can do to troubleshoot the follow issue are these:

Check for kinks in the water supply hose.

Turn off the water supply (hot and cold) and remove the hoses from the back of the washer. Check the port screens at the hose connections for sediment buildup and clean as necessary.
  4. Reconnect the water supply hoses to the washer and turn on the water supply.
  5. Plug the washer cord back into the wall outlet.Select the wash cycle and press the "Start" button.
If the error code returns, you will likely have internal water flow issues due to the pump or other internal problems which may require a service technician.

Hope this helps.

GE washing maching not filling

Several factors can cause a GE washing machine not to allow water to enter the drum, including closed valves, kinked hoses, a faulty electrical breaker or sediment in the water lines. Sediment occurs most often when the water to the home is off due to electrical outages or when installing items in the plumbing. Cleaning the screens will remove a sediment blockage, allowing water into a washing machine.
    • 1 Check each water valve for the hot and cold water lines to make sure they are open completely. Open valves are turned completely to the left. Check the fuse at the electrical box to make sure it is not faulty, and check to make sure the washer is plugged securely into the outlet. Observe the water supply hoses to make sure there are no kinks from the supply valves to the back of the appliance.
Observe the water supply valve handles to see if they are cracked. If so, they need replacing.
    • 2 Turn off both the hot and cold water supply valves. Turn each knob completely counterclockwise to turn them to the off position. Pull the washer forward to reach the water supply valves, hoses and the back of the washing machine. Place one hand on each side of the washing machine and slightly lift the front while pulling straight out from the wall.
    • 3 Place a bucket at the rear of the appliance. Use adjustable pliers to unscrew the hot and cold water hoses on the back of the washing machine. Turn each hose counterclockwise to unscrew and remove from the washing machine while pointing them into the bucket to catch any water in the hoses.
    • 4 Turn on the hot water supply valve and hold the hose pointing into the bucket. Observe to see if water is coming out of the hose or trickling out of the hose. Repeat this procedure for the cold water supply hose. Limited water or no water flow indicates that the lack of flow is at the valve end of the water supply hoses.
    • 5 Pull the filters out of the washer valves with needle-nose pliers. Rinse under warm water to clean out any sediment and replace them in the hot and cold water washer valves on the appliance.
    • 6 Unscrew the hot water supply hose from the valve using adjustable pliers. Turn the hose connector clockwise to unscrew and remove. Repeat this procedure with the cold water supply hose. Pull out the screen from each hose with needle-nose pliers and rinse under warm water to clean. Replace the screens.
    • 7 Replace both water supply hoses on the washer valves and the washing machine and tighten them with adjustable pliers. Slide the washing machine back into place and level the legs by slightly lifting the front of the washing machine and setting it back down.

FH IS FLASHING ON THE WASHER AND IT HAD STOPPED WORKING ONLY 5 MNUTES INTO ITS CYCLE

Hello,

The FH error code means the computer on the control board didnt detect any water entering the washer..sometimes it doesnt detect the water entering because the filter screens on the water inlet valve are clogged with sediment and water is having a hard time entering the washer.

The filter screens can be checked by turning off water at the faucets and disconnecting the fill hoses from the back of the machine and pop the scrrens out of where the hoses connect at the washer and check for blockage in them. If they are found to be clean check the water coming out of the hoses before connecting them back to the washer...if the screens are clean and water pressure is good out of the hoses the part of the washer called the FLOW METER would need to be replaced

Washer flashes f 1 on the display window

Hello,

The F1 error means that water pressure into the washer is out of range...the control on the washer learns the water pressure coming in from when it was brand new it is capable of learning just the water pressure to your house since it will vary from your neighbors...after it has learned what the normal pressure is if it doesnt see that normal pressure coming into the washer it will throw up the F1 error code

What to check is if water is coming into the washer from the rubber fill hoses with as much pressure as always did...things that could cause lesser pressure is; kinked/crushed fill hose, sediment built up in the filter screens inside of the water inlet valve( can be checked by turning off water and removing hoses and pop screen out from the back of washer where the hoses connect to)

If the filter screens are clear and water seems to coming from the hoses with good pressure...the washer control board would need to be replaced

HE3t has an FH error code checked the following and are OK. pressure switch, flow meter, and inlet valves water flows in without restriction. What else could it be? Craig

Hi,

Thank you for contacting fixya.com.

FH error code means low water inflow. In this error washer is not filling when the fill valve opens.
To clear the error please follow the bellow instructions:-
Press the "Stop" button twice with your finger. This cancels the cycle and stops the washer. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.Turn the water shut off valves clockwise to stop the water flow to the washer through the supply hoses. Pull the washer away from the wall enough that you can access the hose connections at the back of the washer.

Set a bucket under the area of the hose connections. Unscrew the hose connections from the back of the washer. If necessary, use a pair of slip joint pliers to help start the connections turning until you can turn them by hand. Set the ends of the hoses inside the bucket.Inspect the screens on the inlet ports on the back of the washer where the hoses connect. Sediment and other debris can block these screens, causing fill problems. Clean the screen with an old toothbrush.

Thread the hoses back onto the washer. Look for kinks in the hoses. Kinks cut off water supply to the washer which causes the FH error code. Once you connect the hoses, turn the water supply valves counter-clockwise to supply water to the washer. Move the bucket away from the washer and push the washer back into its working position.Plug the power cord back into the outlet and start the wash cycle again. If the FH error code comes up again, call a service repairman. If the hoses have no kinks and the inlet screens are clean, there is a problem with either the pressure switch or the flow meter.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Comes up 5 minutes after cycle starts, e10.

I don't see a brand listed for your washing machine. But an e10 error code can be due to a water supply issue. This is often the result of the water inlet screen being plugged, but it could be as simple as a kinked inlet hose. Check that the water supply to the washer is fully turned on and that all the hose connections are tight. Also make certain that the hoses are not kinked and are as straight as possible. Getting at the screens will probably mean disconnecting a hose and removing a cover. Once you get to the screen clean it out with a small screwdriver, toothpick, q-tip or other appropriately sized tool. Be careful when digging into the washer and always make sure the washer is unplugged when performing work.

Getting an E1 error code

It should be the 1E error code. LG standard is xE indicating a code followed by E for error. Except in the cae of power failure which is indicated by PF.

E1 means inadequete water supply. This can be cause by a kinked hose in the back of the machine (going to the hot or cold water supply). A water valve (at your hookup connection) that is not fully open, or a clogged filter in the inlet hose.

Insure the valves are completely open on the wall behind the washer, and that the lines connecting to the washing machine are not kinked coiled tightly. If neither of these are the problem, shut off the water valves and disconnect the water lines from the machine and wall and insure that the screens in the hose are clear.

Good luck to you.
