In some Refrigerators there is tray below the freezer section and there is a small hole in the tray. Water dripping from the tray enters a hole below in the back and goes out to a chamber.
If the hole is covered with dirt or if you place something in the line between these holes, water will drip and collect in the bottom of the refrigerator.
The water is coming from the defrost cycle in the top of unit . It drains down at the back of the light cover into a tube at the back. Get a phillips screwdriver and take it down to be sure tube is inserted properly. Get model number and go to.appliancepartspros.com to get a diagram.
model 680 and up. the warer valve is located in the upper part of the unit. follow the water. is very posible the water is coming from the top of the unit. TIP. remove the upper grill. and a white cover. behin the white cover is the water valve.
The drain is plugged and in defrost the water has to go somewhere. Try to blow out the drain with air. Or you might have to remove the evaporator cover to get hot water down the drain. First try to clear the line.
