I just bought my son a RCA 2n1 tablet do I need to put a anti virus on it before my son starts using it

The store would have put the code on the receipt when you bought it. If you lost the receipt then you need to contact the store. If aquired from a 3rd party contact them for code. We will not help bypass anti-theft measures.

Check the "settings" tab in your browser for Security or Privacy settings and relax or eliminate those. If you have an anti-virus app on the tablet, that may be the culprit.

There are two ways:

• From computer. Use micro USB cable,connect it to tablet. Computer will detect the tablet as storage device. Open explorer. Copy your files from computer to tablet in the folder where you want to store/save.

• Use micro SD card. Insert microSD card to computer/laptop. Copy your files to microSD card. Remove microSD card. Insert it on your tablet. Access the files. To access files on microSD card, you can see on this video :

You also can use flashdisk as a files transfer storage.
If using flashdisk,transfer procedur is same as for microSD.
If using flashdisk,you need miniUSB to USB adapter. See photo:

I have had this problem a lot lately plug it into another computer using the usb port and repair program like system mechanic also run anti virus check using the other computer it should unlock it and get you back up and running.

I bought my son the 7 inch RCA tablet form Walmart on Black Friday 2014. This tablet has a one year manufacturers warranty so you should still be fine with your 10.1 in tablet if you contact RCA directly.

there are free anti virus program in the app market one of them is AVG anti virus.
