Question about Washing Machines
Is this a top loader? Something jamming the under side of the agitator? Remove it to check. If the shaft that drives the agitator is frozen--may be bad bearings (and the source of the noise). If a front loader, the tub main bearing is probably frozen, again the probable source of the noise or maybe the drive belt was slipping.
