I disabled and reinstalled sound drivers but no go...... confronted some ppl and they said this seems to be an issue of magnetic field.........I was just wondering what this can be. Re: computer making weird sounds

Possibly audio feedback, but don't know why. Try disabling the microphone input (for help, post back) as a test. If now gone, re-enable mic but decrease gain slider (for help, post back).

How do I remove and replace the keyboard on my satelite A 120 laptop. Can I have some instructions please.

Step one: Remove the two screws from the bottom of the computer that are holding down the Toshiba Satellite A100-S8111TD Keyboard bezel. The bezel is the bar that sits right above all the function keys.
Step two: Turn the computer over, open the cover and insert the credit card or guitar pick between the bezel and the laptop screen. The bezel has pegs that sit in holes, you need to slowly pry up the bezel. It will make a bit of a popping noise as it is removed.
Step three: Now hold on to the laptop keyboard from the end closest to the screen and gently pull it away from the touch-pad end and flip it over. You will see the ribbon attached to the underside of the Toshiba Satellite A100-S8111TD Keyboard. There is a little plastic connector holding the ribbon to the computer. To unlock it, carefully pull up on the two tabs; one located on each corner of the connector. Be very gentle when you do this as this is the one part that gets broken the most often when changing a keyboard. The ribbon cable will now be released.
Step four: Carefully pull the ribbon out of the connector and remove it along with the entire Toshiba Laptop Keyboard.
Final step: To insert the new Toshiba Satellite A100-S8111TD Keyboard, place the board face down so you have easy access to the ribbon. Make sure the keyboard is lined up so when you flip it back over the keys are in the correct position. Keep the ribbon straight at all times; twisting it could damage it. Place the ribbon in the connector; it only goes in one way. Once in place, push down on the connector tabs to lock it. Now flip the keyboard over and slide it down toward the touch pad and take the bezel and line the pegs up with the holes and push it in place. Then turn the computer over and replace the two screws you removed from the bottom. You can now power on your computer and see if the Toshiba Satellite A100-S8111TD Keyboard works. If it is not working, more than likely the ribbon was not inserted properly.

Touch Pad on my laptop is not working

Follow the guide below to tear the laptop down, you are extremely fortunate that the device is even working. Electronic sircuits and water have never been a good match, and your keyboard and touchpad are essentially just large electronic circuits. There is probably some water still somewhere under the keyboard and it is probably in contact with the tochpad cable or socket. When you have the keyboard off, use a hair dryer on warm and completely dry out all components and make sure all the small flat cables are tight in their sockets.

I bought this toshiba laptop computer about two years ago and apparently my internal speakers are gone. I do not have extended warranty so when I took it back to future shop where I bought it and they sold...

Did you actually have it examined by a technician or did the sound just stop working one day? An update to an audio driver could have caused this. There is really nothing to go out per se on a pair of notebook speakers.

Go to Toshiba's support site: and click 'download' and choose the correct menus to see the downloads for your notebook. Download the 'Audio Driver' and reinstall it. This might magically fix your problem if your mixer settings got messed up and will only put sound out through the headphone jack.

I have never actually seen notebook speakers just stop working for any reason other than liquid damage or a software issue. Very weird.

Laptop battery not charging

Replace the battery, if laptop works fine from charger without battery installed that proves battery is at fault.
