Question about GE Spacemaker JVM1640SJ Microwave Oven
Look in the cabinet above the microwave. You should see a vent if it is vented outside. You will need to remove the vent. Then look in the same area to find two screws that will need to be removed. Disconnect the power cord and have someone hold the bottom of the unit and remove the screws. It will fall at this point so hold it good. With the screws out and vent removed you will be able to let the front of the microwave down a little. This will allow you to now lift the back to release it from the channel hook in rear. Then you will see the mount plate on the wall. It should have screws securing it to the wall on stud locations. remove these screws and remove the wall plate. Hope this helps. Good luck.
