Question about Logitech Cordless Mouse

1 Answer

The mouse quit working. The optical light under the mouse isn't on. Double checked the attachment to the computer and restarted. The arrow is frozen on the screen. I can manually use the keyboard but not the mouse.

My acer 15.6inch the cursor is frozen wont move

Hello,

Which mouse are you using? Is it the integrated mouse or the USB mouse?

If you are using the USB mouse, then try checking if it's plugged in correctly.

If it's your integrated mouse, then restart the computer and when it's up. Try moving your mouse. Restarting it usually does the trick.

If restarting it won't fix the problem, then restart and boot to safe mode. While restarting, tap F8 until you see the options to boot to safe mode. Highlight safe mode by using the arrow keys and hit enter. When you are in safe mode, try moving your mouse. Works or not - update the mouse driver. You can use RadarSync. If no go, then you might need to do a system restore. If worse comes worst, do a complete operating system reinstallation.

I hope this helps!

Troubleshoot iHome optical travel mouse

which operating system xp windows vista or 7 ?

make sure you have the right mouse select in control panel
make sure you have the right mouse selected click start control panel mouse hardware you will see which mouse is selected
you might have to uninstall the mouse then restart your computer then reinstall the mouse and its drivers

click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to mice and other pointing devices you might see a yellow exclamation mark ! or question mark ? or a red x
right click you will need to update the driver

click start control panel mouse you should see 4 tabs buttons, pointers, pointer options and hardware under hardware you have options to troubleshoot also you can select properties under driver you will have options to update driver, rollback driver or uninstall

make sure you have the right mouse selected click start control panel mouse hardware you will see which mouse is selected in xp

I have found that the best way to adjust your mouse settings is to create a control panel in your bottom toolbar scroll to the bottom of your screen right click you will see an array of options select the toolbar option then select desktop

then you will see the desktop in the bottom toolbar select the 2 >>arrow heads then all control panel items then select mouse this is in WINDOWS 7

in XP you will have to select the new toolbar option once you have that a browse option select my computer then control panel then a control panel option will be in the bottom toolbar

for the double click this will be in the folder options follow previous to get to control panel items
click start control panel navigate folder options tick in the double click to open circle

Aspire 5100 mouse is frozen how to fix problem

Try restarting your computer by pushing the windows button on the bottom of the keyboard on the left side, generally next to the ALT button. use your arrow keys to move over to the shut down button, select restart and restart your computer. Or you can shut down and then push the power button to start up your computer. This should help reset your laptop and unfreeze your mouse.

If this does not work, go to the control panel, again using the windows button and the arrow keys. select mouse, then go thru the tabs on the window to make sure that your mouse pad is selected to control your mouse.

If you found this information helpful, please remember to leave positive feedback.

Thank You,
Brian

The mouse on my computer is not responding, it is like it is frozen. i have tried to reboot but nothing is happening.

if you are using an optical USB mouse, then check if the LED sensor lights up, if the light sensor is off, then your mouse is probably defective.

If the mouse still lights up when your computer is on, then try to refresh the usb driver for this. go to CONTROL PANEL, select SYSTEM. Go the HARDWARE and select DEVICE MANAGER.

Look for MICE and OTHER POINT DEVICES, select your mouse driver, right-click and the UNINSTALL driver. Once mouse icon is gone, you can click REFRESH or simply restart your PC again and wait for windows to redetect your usb mouse.

Blinking red light on top of mouse. What does it mean?

that is the light sensor that signals the usb pluging from the mouse's attachment so it can operate. When that light quits working replace the battery inside the mouse

My Microsoft wireless notebook optical mouse is not working

Did you check the batteries?
Is the little red light under the mouse lit when you plug it in?
Have you looked in the device manager to see if the system is recognizing it? Do this by right clicking on "my computer" and left clicking on "properties." Then left click on "hardware" and then "device manager."
Check the devices: "mice" and also "human interface devices."
If you find the mouse, highlight it and delete it.
Restart your computer and plug the mouse USB receiver back in.
Also, click on the "connect" button on the receiver and under the mouse.

You should install the mice driver or uninstall the current mice driver and reinstall it back after restarting. if this not help, something wrong with your mice and you'll need to replace it.
