I need to adjust the presser foot bar to slightly turn the presser foot to the left as it is not straight under the needle assembly.

Home or industrial machine? Brand? Most of them are similar. Access the needle bar on the left side. You may need to remove the plate on the left end of the machine. With your finger, follow the bar from the foot upwards until you see a fairly large screw. With a large screw driver, loosen the screw SLIGHTLY, then using a second screw driver, insert it between the toes of your presser foot (so that you have plenty of leverage)and rotate the foot as much as you need to. Firmly tighten the screw, and put the end plate back on your machine. The reason you only loosen it slightly is that there is a spring in the bar to put pressure on your material to pull it through and if you loosen it too much, you will then have to reset your pressure. Just another problem! Good Luck!

How do I change a needle on my husqvana 905 overlocker

Each needle has a small set screw holding it in place. Just above the needle from the front you can loosen the needle by using a T6 (Tork 6) screw driver (if you don't have the original tool that came with the serger) to loosen the needle. Before loosing the screw, I would put a piece of fabric or paper over the needle plate to catch the needle (or part) to keep it from falling in the machine. Turn the screw counter clockwise (to the left) to loosen. Insert the new needle and tighten. It's not necessary to remove the screw entirely, just loosen it and the needle usually just falls out.

Good luck.

Machine is Jammed

Try turning the wheel to the right end manually----briskly back and forth to loosen thread that are caught in the bobbin. Remove bobbin and clear threads. If none, remove plate below needle to see if thread or fluffy threads are clogged below. No good...have it serviced by a professional.

My machine started knocking & the lower thread jamming; how do i fix it?

have you tried a new needle
Correct needle insertion is mandatory for proper use of your sewing machine.
Raise the needle bar to the highest point, then loosen the needle clamp screw to remove the old needle.
Place the new needle in the needle clamp with the flat side of the needle facing the back, (round needle, the groove in the needle should face away from the shaft).
Push the needle all the way up as far as it will go. Then tighten the needle clamp screw.
check the bobbin to make sure it's not damaged
rethread the machine top & bobbin
clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint or threads
also make sure the top thread doesn't come off the thread take up
lever

I was trying to sew fleece and the machine started jamming and I cleaned out the bobbin casing and also changed the needle and it still jams.

also clean under the needle plate for lint

Hello, My fresia 425 seems to have broken the the thread tension plate(little silver piece), it will not tighten on the thread and is basically hanging there loose. How doI open the body to get to it? I do...

The chances of your 425 having a broken steel tension plate are incredibly small. Chances are you just have some thread jammed up in it, keeping the discs from closing. Turn the dial to Zero and use a needle and dig up in the discs to try to free the jammed threads. The discs loosen when you put the presser foot in the up position so lift the foot and turn the dial to Zero making the discs as loose as possible. If you have a can of air, blast the air between the disc to also try to loosen the jam.

My CE 200 jammed and I cleaned it out now it won't pick up bobbin thread how do i reset the timing?

To reset the timing on your machine there are timing marks that show you where the machine must be set.
Remove the needle plate and bobbin case. Turn the hand wheel towards you until the needle bar is in the lowest position. You will see two marks on the needle bar with the top one being flush with the bottom of the bushing. If it is not, loosen the needle bar screw and move it up or down to set the marks. Make sure you keep the needle bar straight (needle clamp screw should be straight to the right).
Next turn the hand wheel until the lower timing mark is flush with the bushing. At this point, the hook tip should be just above the eye of the needle.
If the hook tip and needle do not line up, turn the machine on its back making sure the needle bar does not move. Loosen the two timing screws on the hook pulley (only loosen them 1/4 turn). Move the hook to line it up with the needle. Tighten the screws and recheck the timing. The feed dogs should be in the down position when timing the machine. If the feed dogs are up when the timing is done, the hook timing is out 180 degrees.

Singer 7442 - Needle hitting bottom

FIRST DETERMIN NEEDLE BAR POSITION TURN STITCH REGULATOR TO LARGEST STITCH, THEN TURN HAND WHEEL TIL' NEEDLE IS ABOUT TO ENTER NEEDLE PLATE.
AT THIS POINT THE FEED DOGS SHOULD BE JUST AT OR JUST UNDER PLATE. IF SO NEEDLE BAR IS, IN CORRECT POSITION,AND TIMING WILL BE SET AT THE HOOK.

Needle continues to hit plate

Sounds like the needle is not inserted correctly, take it out and make sure it is in the right spot and the right way around, (has Flat on one side)
