Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player
I have a 30GB 5G iPod, but accidentally got it near a metal detector turned up too high. Now the iPod has the operating software, but doesn't show any music or videos. I've tried the 5 R's several times, and iTunes always acts like it is reloading all the songs and vidoes, but after it finishes, I go to the menu on the iPod, and it shows no music, no vidoes, as if it were a new iPod. I figure the songs are on there, its just the iPod is looking in the wrong place.
You may want to try calling apple. even if it is no longer under warranty, they can still provide you with helpful information as to whether its repairable or not...if under warranty, they will most likely repair it...or send you a new or refurbished one. Otherwise, it may be more worth it to get a new one, unfortunately.
