I understand that the chimes on your oven and microwave are not working. I would be happy to help you locate any additional information regarding the chimes. In order to assist you further I would need to have your model number. You can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the inside wall of your microwave or on the door frame. Does this unit have a turntable? If so does it turn when on?

This
is a problem in one of the damper-related components, most likely the
switch, but it may also be the motor or the damper door.
The
damper is a door inside that opens or closes depending on cooking mode.
If the controller senses that the door is not in the right position, it
will shut down the cook cycle.
Sharp models stop after
59 seconds.

I found it! There isn't a direct link from the Electrolux home page (shame on their webmaster!), but I got it with a search engine.
The first 12 pages are important generic information about microwave cooking; after that it gets into details on your model.

Hi - From what you have described it sounds like the microwave possibly has a wiring failure or faulty control panel or magnetron. I would suggest contacting a professional that accurately diagnose and repair the unit
