I've got a 2w 1994 2.3l ford ranger. It starts fine but after warming up (5 mins) it stalls and is hard to restart?Any ideas? Changed spark plugs, wires, air filter... thanks, Chuck

Check the engine coolant temp sensor. That can cause temp related problems. It is 67 in the picture, has circle around it. It is in the heater water tube, which in turn is connected to thermostat housing. The hard restarting may be because it is trying to flood? Any applicable trouble codes? Don't replace anything unless your testing points in that direction.

Have low and reverce cold short warm up no reverce like 5 min when warmer say 10 min no low in 2001 ford ranger 4.0L moter tran is a 4R55E

Time to rebuild the Transmission.

Runs but cuts off after 5 mins

Someone will need to figure out if you are loosing spark or fuel when the engine will not stay running.

Truck stall as soon as it get hot(10 min)wait 5 to 7min fire back up runs a min or 2 then stall again wait again fire back up and etc... Fuel pump is ok and running when i crank it and it wont start,looks...

Just becouse you ear the fuel pump runing when you crank the engine,does`n mean that has the right pressure,make sure you have the right pressure.

I have an 86 ranger 5 speed with the 4 cylinder it seems to run good when its cold but i drive it about 15 miles and it sputters and jumps like its out of gas then dies. it wont start again for 20 to 30...

Have you checked it for spark when it dies? It sounds like a bad ignition module.

sounds like the auto choke isnt turning itself off properly but to be totally honest i would need this to happen when i test drive it to diagnose it correctly .

I HAVE A 93 RANGER AND IT WILL IDLE FINE BUT WHEN I START GOING DOWN THE ROAD THE TRUCK WILL ALMOST FLOOD ITSELF OUT IVE REPLACE THE FUEL FILTER AND STILL NO LUCK.....ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA'S?

Check exhaust compression. Remove the O2 sensor before the cat and see if there is an increase in performance.
