Yes, for most movies the surround speakers are for music and background. Unless the person speaking is supposed to be behind you, the voice will not come from there.

Check the Audio settings on the other side. Make sure the right speakers in Skype settings are correct.

Hello there, the problem with your phone is the mouth piece. The mouth piece has become faulty and therefore does not pic your voice for transmission. As it does not pick your voice therefore no sound is transmitted. The solution to this is to get the mouth piece or as some refer to it the mic changed by an expert. Its an mic problem once check with voice recorder. Record a sound and playback if no sound surely its a mic problem

This isn't an issue with your mic, this simply you hearing what your saying through the other persons ****. This occurs most often when the person your speaking with has their audio configured to play through their speaker rather than their **** or when the volume on the mike's speaker is so high that the **** picks it up. Reducing the volume on your **** may help the the situation.
