There are a few things that could be wrong with it.
1. It is not properly flashed or the "flash" has been wiped out somehow. Take it back to whoever flashed it and see if they will fix it. If your picture text also is not working this is most likely the case
2. It is not properly programmed in the ##000000 settings. Dial ##000000 and scroll down, make sure the email-like address is [email protected] and enter cricket as the password.
3. It is not properly provisioned. Call 1-800-CRICKET (*611 from cricket phones) and ask them to "Provision and Refresh" your internet.
Unfortunately cricket cannot guarentee the features on flashed phones as it is not their technology.
ok so i just got mine yesterday and it was purchased on ebay as well. I am having the same difficulties and am very frustrated. I read that if u put your [email protected] and the password down as 'cricket' with the domain name left empty this is supposed to clear u for internet and mms/pix messaging. if it doesnt work for you than we will be in the same boat cause it has not worked for me at all. i have been researching this garbage for like4 hours now and i am extremely annoyed and upset i wasted my money on this phone. my email is [email protected]. hope this helps!
You need to have your cell phone carrier set it up for you, their tech support is where you need to go. I had sprint in the past and you have to go into a screen to input info. They can help you.
This device is not designed for use on Cricket. While you can flash devices to work services are not guaranteed to work. Cricket will only warranty their own phones and their may be unforseen issues with the internet. As this device is not designed to be with cricket this could be any number if issues that cannot be diagnosed and resolved online. You will want to either call Cricket Tech Support or if you can find a cricket store tke it in there and see if they can reflash it and verify correct settings.
your internet setting are wrong..im not sure if they do it in the contry your in but in australia the service provider sends you messages for the internet setting..ask your provider if they do that
I believe the Moto Q can support this so the basic flash you received only hacks the SPC, changes it to null value and writes the PRL (preferred roaming list) for Cricket and it's partner carrier's towers. Then, assuming it has not been reported lost or stolen, they will add your ESN (electronic serial number) or IMEI (international mobile equipment ID) so you can make and recieve calls. This does not enable picture messaging or internet. This is a separate procedure using computer software and there are several things which need to be changed in the firmware like your MID (mobile identification number) web addresses, protocols, and passwords for Cricket mobile service. You will need to take it to the person who flashed your Verizon and ask for the full flash so you can get the internet. I hope this helps. If you already paid for the full flash ask them to redo it and test it before you leave the store.
It can NOT be fully flashed. I used to work for cricket. You will not get anything but calls and text. that is it. If you receive or try to send a pic message it will scrable your flash and your phone will start to power off automatically when you try to use it! You have an option to disable pic messaging, but as I discovered today, if you send an MMS from a cell phone instead of an SMS it will do the same thing, scramble your flash and your phone will power off after being on for a few seconds. Shop around for a Motorola Z6M. Great features for a cricket phone. OR the LG EnVY is a great phone to flast to cricket. It has the keyboard and I have NEVER had and issue with a FULL flash on that one. Happy hunting, try craigslist.org
