Question about Nokia 3100
Yes...that was absolutely correct...but, i have some experience where it also cannot charge after i replace it with new battery...the solution that i done is try to open up your 3100.then, replace charger jack with other model that have the same size for example 6020(or maybe cheaper model or just buy at repair shop).then attach, and finally assemble back.....walla, it will functioning just as new....to replace it is just plug n play.no soldering needed.u can save ur money without paying labour work......hope this solution is helpful...

If you have tried several chargers and it doesnt still charge then it could be a battery problem you could try replacing the battery but before you do this has the phone been dropped or got wet check where the charger plugs in and make sure there is no bit of fluff or paper stuck in the hole where the charger goes sometimes the chargers pack up but if not the charger then it is the battery that needs replacing hope this is somr help to you
