Solid yellow line on recipients screen

When i use video on skype the other parties picture has a solid yellow line down the centre of the screen cant seem to get rid of it i have logitech pro 5000 cam

Yes, I have a similar problem but I am the recipient. I have a logitech QuickCam IM and the webcam I am connecting to is an inbuilt webcam on an Acer 5610. They seem to be able to see us ok but we cannot see them very well through the yellow strip through the middle of the vidoe window.

Using Skype 4.1 everything works fine with one small problem. Picture of party I am speaking with has a vertical yellow line down the center of his/her picture. How do I get rid of that line?

check your internet speed and make sure it is pretty good.

check also the other party's cam, maybe some hair or other tiny object is blocking the camera lens.

Translucent yellow band down centre of recieved picture.

Normal 0 How much memory is installed in your computer? The camera uses quite a bit of your memory to operate properly and would cause the poor video. Could be other
Issues, but worth checking.
Hope this helps. Bud

I found this solution in - it worked for me.

1 - click "start" and choose the option to "run";
2 - type "dxdiag" and confirm in OK;
3 - a screen will appear with "DirectX Diagnostic Tool";
4 - chooses the "display" tab;
5 - disable the options "DirectDraw Acceleration" and "Direct3D Acceleration"
