Question about Computers & Internet
I tried helping a friend upgrade their computer. She bought her computer in 2002 and it is running like a tortoise.
It is a Sony and she only had 256 mb of RAM. So I suggested she buy some more RAM. The sticker on the side of the Computer says the Motherboard is upgradeable to 1GB. She went to the computer store with all the information she needed and they sold her two 512MB sticks. Once she installed them the screen said "No Input Signal. Got to Power Save."
The motherboard is a Asustek Comp Kirin V Rev 1.xx Bus Clock 133mghtz.
She also says that she put the old Memory stick back in, and the computer is now beeping.
Does anyone know what could be wrong?
I would check the documentation to ensure you purchase the correct memory. If you purchase the wrong memory type, it could cause issues like these.
