get a piece of garden hose, about three feet long and tape it to the end of the long rectangular vacuum attachment. remove your filter and insert the hose going back and forth as you go all the way in and out. be sure to hold onto the hose and not the attachment.

I have a Kenmore electric (front load) dryer, model number 84092500 that would spin but does not produce any heat. I tried cleaning/vacuumin the tubing that vents to the outside and resetting the circuit...

The first step of the fix has been done by cleaning the lint filter and the vent system. The next step is replacing the thermal cut-off and the high-limit thermostat both located on the blower housing. It is common that the dryer stops heating when the thermal cut-off blows open due to the failure of the high-limit thermostat to cycle off and regulate the heater temperature. The thermal cut-off cuts power to the heating element should the high-limit thermostat fails and the dryer temperature goes extremely high as a safety feature. HOW DOES THE FRONT PANEL REMOVE -FOR CLEANING THE BURNER AND MOTOR

For the model dryer you have listed, the dryer cabinet can be removed for cleaning by following these steps:

1. UNPLUG the dryer and remove the lint screen.

2. Remove the two screws that were under the lint screen and lift the top panel.

3. Unplug the door switch connector plug and any ground wire that may be installed on the casing.

4. Locate the two screws that hold the front panel in place. There should be one screw on each side in the cabinet interior.

5. With the door shut, lean against the front panel and remove the two screws that hold it in place. Once the screws are removed, grasp the front panel at the top center and lift straight up to remove.

You should now have complete access to the dryer interior.

Once you have completed your inspection and cleaning of the dryer interior re-install the dryer front panel by holding it as you did previously. Line up the holes on the inside bottom edge of the front panel with the small mounting cleats on the front edge of the side panels. This can be done by yourself, but an assistant may make it easier. Once you have the front panel in place, lean against it to hold it in place and install the mounting screws.

NOTE: Don't forget to reconnect the grounding wire and door switch connector plug. Without the door switch connected, the dryer will not run.

Lower the top panel back in place and reinstall the two screws.

NOTE: Placing a piece of duct tape over the dryer vent chute will help safeguard against dropping anything down in the blower fan assembly. If you drop any screws down the chute, you will need to remove the dryer back panel to retrieve them.

If you have any questions about this repair, or if the model number is different, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

How to secure gas dryer bottom panel to old Whirpool dryer

Should be two metal clips on bottom front of dryer that the panel slides onto and two clips on top of front panel that click in.

Here is a pic of the clip that goes on the bottom of the front of dryer in which the panel slides on.

Need to change the belt, for model # LER3624JQ0

To change the belt on a whirlpool dryer first unplug the dryer
  1. Remove the lint screen and take out the two screws.
  2. Take a 1 inch paint scraper and insert it between the top and the cabnet about 2 inches from the corner to release the spring clips holding the top in place.
  3. Swing the top back and rest it against the wall.
  4. Looking down inside holding the front dryer panel on,there is a screw on both sides. Remove these screws and tilt the dryer front forward seperating the front from the dryer drum.
  5. Mark the wires going to the lid switch and remove the wires.
  6. Lift the dryer front off and out of the way.
  7. On some Whirlpool dryers there is an access door at the rear lower corner of the dryer. Remove this door and observe how the belt goes on. If the belt is broken it is easier to replace the belt if you can access it through this panel. Some newer dryers have no panel and the belt has to be replaced from the front.
  8. Remove the drum and do a complete cleaning of all lent.
  9. Check to see that the two rollers on the rear panel of the dryer turn freely. If the don't , replace them. (Clean and lubricate the shafts.
  10. Check to see if the idler pulley moves freely. If it doesn't replace.
  11. Positoin the belt over the drum where the marks are where the old belt was and put the drum into the dryer
  12. Pinch the belt and position it threw the idler pulley and over the motor shaft pulley.
  13. Reinstall the front panel with the two screws removed. Lock the top down and reinstall the two screw from under the lint screen. Reninstall the lint screen. Plug dryer in and test.

Model#110 65964401 How to properly clean all lint out of unit.

Place a putty knife in the space between the upper and lower panel at the front of the dryer about 4 inches in from either side to push up the retaining clips while pulling on the panel. This will release the lower panel and give you full access to cleaning all the main components.

The heater is on the right and the motor on the left behind the ducting. A thorough cleaning requires removal of the front duct which is the area below the lint filter. It also includes carefully cleaning the motor, including both ends, of lint to reduce heat retention in the motor windings. Don't forget to clean the vent that penetrates the wall. Airflow problems are often caused within the areas you can't see and should be checked and cleaned yearly.

Reverse the above process to reassemble unit. Good Luck.

I cannot see how to remove the front panel to take out the condenser unit to clean it on my awz 7303

After some frustrating searching, I finally found the manual for this dryer on the www.whirlpool.co.uk website. The URL for this manual is:

http://www.whirlpool.co.uk/app.cnt/whr/en_GB/pageid/pgwpsrvifuhome001/DOCTYPE/IFU/DOCLANGUAGE/GB

One thing that the manual does not show (probably think it so evident that there was no need to mention) is how to open the vent panel at the front bottom of the dryer. Let me save you accidently breaking or cracking it to get it open. OPEN THE DRYER DOOR AND PUSH DOWN THE BLUE BUTTON YOU SEE ON THE LOWER RIM - this will POP the vent door open!! Simple, but not obvious to me!!
