It may involve brute force and a big hammer and punch
however it it is in effect jammed between the rod and the barrel , I would be tending to junk that section and get a replacement part
reason is simple
the rod needs a smooth bore to operate effectively and with your part it will be scored and will probably keep jamming
talk with a shop that repairs these tools and get a good idea of what to do
you will probably need to talk to a shop to get any parts

Ihave a nail jammed in my gun,I believe there is a release gate but how to open it?

Is this a Dewalt gun? There is a faceplate in front of the barrel/slot. That's what you want to remove. Find the appropriate allen wrench and remove the bolts Your "jam" will be mostly exposed. 9 times out of 10 it's two nails that are wedged together or a bent nail. Using thin sharp tool or another nail pry the jammed nail(s) out. Note: be sure to keep that slot oiled, it is very important!

Nails coming out of side of nail gun dont know why

are you using the correct nails for your nailer? some nailers use a 20 degree slant others dont. If slanted nails it could be that they are in backwards. If you use slanted and your gun requires straight nail strips this could be the reason as well.

Pellets jammed in the gun's barrel

The best way I found to fix this is to break the gun down. Once you've done that you can slide the barrel out and use a push rod to remove jammed pellets. To stop this issue, I've read to not use short skirted or pointed pellet.

Can you use regular round head nails in the cliped nail version ?.

Your gun uses 30 -34 degree clip head paper tape. Order a sample of the nail below. It may work on your gun. These are offset full round head with paper tape. Safe way to test if nails will work is to remove the head of the gun and insert nails into rails. Push down on the driver with wood handle of hammer to eject nail. This will test for jamming or two nails trying to eject and cause jam. Look down barrel to see if the head is alighed correctly or too far from centerline of driver.

Problem: Nail jam due to improper degree of nails Question: How do I take apart the nail gun so as to get the jammed nails out?

Try removing stuck nails without taking apart gun. Remove remaining nails from rails. Use long piece of allen wrench or similar hard steel and grind the end to allow for jamed nail (I use a broken driver blade ground slightly thinner to allow for stuck nail). Use heavy brass or copper hammer to push driver up to top of cylinder. If after a couple of heavy blows the driver does not move, remove the head of the gun and pull out the cylinder and place the body of the gun on plywood. This will protect the head from damage. Good luck

I am luking for staples for swingline- power gun 1000

Go to your local Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace, or any other hardware/home store... in the nail/fasteners aisle.

Many staple manufacturers make them, sold by box of 1,000 and up. Just check what number gun they fit.

(example: box states "fits no. 800, 900 and 1000 staple guns.)

As long as "1000" is part of the list, they'll fit.

I have a shell stuck in the gun and can't get it out!

if it is exploded run a rod through the gun when you break it apart. if it is unexploded be careful - it's probably a rim fire cartridge. use plenty of penetrating oil.

I have a bostitch SB 16 finish nailer that has a rack of nails stuck in th loading barrel. I need to take the barrel apart to get them out, How do I do this?

The solution provided is harder then it needs to be. Where the nail gun handle attachs to the nail magazine there are 2 bolts. Remove these bolts and the nail magazine slides right out and you can get to the jammed nail. It still took some effort on my part to get the nail out but this was a lot easier then removing the 4 bolts previously suggested.

How do you safely remove jammed nail gun?

Not sure exactly what Bostitch framer model you have, but if it is powered by compressed air, as long as you remove the air hose from the nail gun, there should be no risk of the nail gun firing while you remove the jammed nail. There should be a way to access the driver area from the top of the nail gun, even via a latch or a couple screws. Remove the top part of the driver area and that should give you access to the jammed nail, which you can remove. Use long nose pliers or something similar if the nails are really stuck.

Nail jam

There are several allen-key style screws just above the shaft/magazine on this nail gun. Remove those and you should be able to lift the top cover plate and access the shaft and remove the jammed nail. Then replace all back in reverse order (pretty easy to do). Of course, ensure no air supply is connected to the nail gun when you do this.
