Try going to your device manager uninstalling driver then reboot it should reinstall itself and make sure to unplug the other mouse first the driver might have gotten screwed up

I have a cordless mouse/keyboard K350. The mouse M510 stopped working. Purchased several months ago. Now what?

If you can, check your wireless mouse with another computer to determine if it is working or not. If it works on the other computer, remove any M510 drivers from your computer. Plug the wireless adapter back in, and see if you computer recognizes it and the port it is plugged into (control panel/system/devices). If the computer recognizes it and loads software, try your mouse again.

Need the usb adopter for this mouse where can I get it

What kind of mouse? Assuming it's a wireless mouse and it's something that was around before 5 or so years ago you may be able to buy the same exact one from ebay or craigslist but it has the be the exact same mouse.

Might just be worth buying a new mouse, make sure you ask and get one that will be universal. Logitech and microsoft both have some wireless mice that if you lose the adapter you can just get a new adapter and it will work. Most mice are pretty cheap though, sometimes it's more cost effective to just buy a new mouse, any basic ones are $10-20 if that.

It was working a minute ago and then froze on me. The mouse shows red light but the contact device that is plugged in doesn't light up at all now

Try reconnecting the mouse to the contact device by pressing the connect button on the device first then on the mouse.
If that doesn't work replace the batteries on mouse and folllow the steps above.
If the "contact device" is usb based(flat plug not round) unplug it from the computer and plug it back in another available usb port.

A couple of weeks ago we heard a pop on the computer and then our Dell mouse doesn't work at all. it started to at first then stops. the led light goes off and it stops. we tried plugging in other usb...

A 'pop' is usually the sound or arcing (a small lightning bolt) meaning its a wonder you didn't lose more than the mouse; With the hardwire mouse circuit damaged you will have to buy and install a wireless mouse.
