Yes, I've solved many of these types of problems. It's either the even heat board under the consold or a relay. there should be a diagram in there that shows how to diagnose it. Good luck :)

My Kenmore 800 series dryer won't start when i push the start button. It does start to spin but stops after i release the start button. Any ideas what the problem might be??

This dryer has a broken belt switch. If the drum turns then the belt is not broken but the broken belt switch could be. The start switch itself could be the problem. This video shows how to get into your machine:

GE dryer starts but..... stops

What you describe is either a failed evenheat board or a failed motor relay.
Please post the complete model number from the machine and I can help you narrow it down. There should be a wiring diagram inside the console with voltage checks also.
Thanks/Mike

Push start button the dryer will tumble, but immediately stops

there is a relay that latches on when you push the start button .. that relay is released by the "door open" switch .. i would suspect that the "door open" switch is bad .. thats usually a button that is pushed in when the door is closed ..

Dryer stops when I release push to start button

Timer may need to be replaced. You can test it with an ohmmeter or test light.
You can do the same with the push button. If you have more problems, then the main control could be faulty

Asko Dryer stops running when you release the start button.

Hi, this is a simple issue here. these switches will fail from time to time. the start switch is unable to hold the circuit, in return, opening it upon release of the button.

Simply replacing the switch will fix this issue. switch is 20 dollars tops.

Hoover tumble dryer

I think you may have a bad relay on the motor, where power is re-applied after the push start is released
