What is causing my Kenmore top washer to make a grinding noise before the rinse cycle?

Have you replaced the clutch or spin tube? There is a brake actuator that comes with the clutch kit and if this is broken it can make a very loud grinding or clacking sound.

Frigidaire front load washe makes an awful noise when water starts to drain

Yes normally remove the bottom panel and the pump is in the front on the right side. Some companies recommend you clean it every few months. Also some will let out water when you open it up, so have a towel ready.

Whirllpool DU8108WKU0 Water remains up to heating elements. Cleaned drain, cleaned drain float and drain line is not kinked.

hi this sounds like either bad drain pump or the pump is clogged, does it make any noise when your trying to drain it? If it does its probably clogged if not its either bad or its not getting any power to the drain pump, the former being more likely, the pump is located on the side of the main sump assembly underneath the dishwasher.

When it hits the final spin it makes a cruching noise and will not drain

Sounds like you have a bad drain pump. Usually the impeller will break off the pump shaft and spin freely inside the pump causing the noise. You will need to remove the pump and feel inside and see if the impeller is broken. Be sure to have a shop vac handy to drain the water from the unit before removing hoses. If its a frontload remember there is alot of standing water in between the tubs. Good Luck.

A loud noise from the pipe that connects the dishwasher under the sink. Would that be a problem with the machine??

When the solenoid turn on to let water into the dishwasher and when it turns back off it can cause the pipe to jump. I will assume that it is banging into something. If so over time it could create a hole in the pipe or tube. I'd try and figure out what it is hitting and move one or the other things.

On rinse part of cycle...makes weird noise and doesn't drain the water out.It is actually a RAX4232 PQO

If the motor is running you likely have something caught in the pump. The fins in the pump hitting something will make funny sounds. Brand and Model number always helps.

Water / hissing noice

Sounds like the water-supply fitting/connection going into the icemaker is leaking. It needs to be removed and fitting/hose tightened/repaired/etc.

Falling water hits something hot in freezer and causes sizzle sound

the sizzling noise is water hitting the defrost elememt and this is normal - shows the defrost system is working. if water comes on the floor of the freezer, this may be the drain for the defrost water is blocked. remove the freexer back panel and the drain is in the tray where the defrost water is caught. if it is blocked - usually with ice - clear it with hot water and make sure the water drains freely. takes some patience and maybe several attempts
