On the engine cover I find Briggs & Stratton 206cc 5HP AT3600R/Min (SAEJ607). I need a new carburetor for the engine. If there is a model number on the engine, I cannot find. Any suggestions?
B&S have the engine number stamped into the air cowling normally at the head above the plug bit it can be any where on the cowling
it will be hard to see as it is stamped then painted over
Many B&S engines are made in china so the number may not be even there
next suggestion is to take the carby ( of unit) to an authorized service dealer and have the carby identified,
When you get what make and model it is , if the price is extreme then try for a carby from e-bay as they are the same unit but a lot cheaper
