Click on Start >> select Run, type "regedit" without the quotes and press Ok. Registry Editor will launch. Expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive, expand the software hive, expand Microsoft, expand Internet Explorer and then click on Main. In the right hand key look for the string named Window Title, double click on it and change the caption to whatever you want. Delete this string in case you want to set it to default.

Please rate this solution in case you find it helpful, if it doesnot resolve your issue, please post a comment and I shall try to post other solution.

Hi,
Basically your computer has been hacked, there is no way you can get rid of the virus now the title bar has been changed.
I recommend that you back up any data you have and perform a full system recovery to return the computer to factory state.

Regards.

Hello Wilson2696,

I do have to agree with leecom72 the best way to fix any damage done by an intrusion is to do a full system restore or fresh install of the O/S.

If you do have any important data files, documents, pictures, video be sure to scan them before saving them to an external hard drive, or burning them to disc's. This will prevent spreading any virus's a hacker may have installed on your pc after he gained access.

After restoring your system (post back if you need further info on this) make sure you are using security to protect yourself There are many free programs that do a wonderful job such as
* AVG FREE ANTIVIRUS
* Malwarebytes Anti malware
* ZoneAlarm Free Firewall

Hope this helps, again post back if you have any further questions about my solution and I will assist you further. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

Tip

How to put your name on Web browser's title bar ?

We can put our name or desired text on Web browser's title bar.

it will be go through using registry editor. but, you have to take backup for registry before doing this.

otherwise, you no need to worry about this simple method.

Operating system: Windows XP Professional

Example browser on: Internet explorer

go to start -> run -> regedit ->

try to search for this below key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER\MAIN \

here, you will see an option "window title" in the right side page.

or you can just create a string value in the right side by using right click on the mouse.

you can also change the start page of browser like google.com

just edit on the start page in the right side page.

--------

thanks,

Lord Rahul Cool - How do I get rid of it in my internet explorer

This is a virus infection you've picked up. I've posted some instructions on how to remove it below. You also need to look at getting some proper antivirus protection and running scans on your computer as there may be other viruses too.
I highly recommend NOD32 as an antivirus (www.eset.com), but if you cannot afford a license you could use AVG as an alternative (free.avg.com).
Here is a quick solution to your current problem:
delete the values in the registry
1--- Start>>Allprograms>>RUN
2---- and type REGEDIT into run window
3----- goto this KEY in the registry editor

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER\MAIN\
-------------------------------------------------------------

delete the key value
********************

Window Title : LORD RAHUL COOL '''delete this value or change it.

If that does not work you can follow the other instructions from here:

This is a redirecting website.
what you need to do, is go into your control panel.
start, settings, control panel.
Click on internet options,
Under the general tab
you should have that website there.
Just delete what is in there and type the homepage you want in there.
Then select the apply tab and ok.

Oragon ini virus

Hi,

The oragon ini is a variant of Taga Lipa Are, not really a virus but more of a nuisance. If affects/changes Internet Explorer, some parts of the Registry, shown in the MSConfig as FS6519.dll.vbs and modifies the Autorun.inf plus a few others.

Like some Pinoy fun "viruses" none of the popular commercially available Anti Virus software can detect or if detected can not remove/repair damages. More often it requires a bit of several steps which needs to be manually done.

Rather than go to a lengthy procedure, please refer to this site, you can try here also and/or to this site . As you can see, this has already been well documented.

Good luck and kind regards.
