Question about Coleman Powermate Powermate 5000W Generator
On the bottom right side of the engine there is a throttle control with a set screw for fine tuning the voltage. Using a multi meter adjust this screw until you reach the desired voltage and then lock the set screw. One other thing a selling point mentioned is that it is a brush-less alternator, for less down time and maintenance. Good luck, Mike

How is the speed of the engine? This could affect the voltage output and will affect the frequency (Hz) output. Check the Hz with a multimeter with a Hz function for 60 Hz. That will rule out a speed problem. Then, go from there.
