Question about Dell Dimension 3000 PC Desktop
I'm not familiar with your description of the sound but can you verify for me that the memory you are using is compatible with the motherboard ?
* 333- and 400-MHz DDR Memory
* 128mb, 256mb, 512mb, or 1-GB nonECC modules
* Maximum memory 2 GB
Can you post back with the details of the memory you put in (most of it should be on the sticker if there is one on the modules. Chances are if the memory type, or size is incompatible then it may cause your PC to function improperly perhaps even causing (BONK BONK BONK) sounds.
Post back with any questions or comments for further assistance. Thank you for choosing Fixya!
