Cant find carby kit for 20hp tecum ? - Garden

possible run on or detonation from a bad carby, float adjustment or water in the bowl upsetting the mixture settings
check to see if it has a wire to the carby , in which case it will be an idle circuit solenoid and it is not working properly and still allowing fuel in through the idle circuit

The float may be stuck or the brass metering jet in the carburetor is plugged

fit a new kit to the carby as the diaphragm is hard and not working properly
check on e-bay for the carby as new is around the same price as the kit
you will need the make of carby and the number both on the carby

kits and carby prices are all e-bay
don't be surprised if the kit and a new carby price are close
go to a mower repair shop and get the kit

indicates insufficient fuel supply
most likely a problem diaphragm in the carby-- gone hard
check the price of a carby kit against the price of a new carby (e-Bay) as the kit price is close to the carby price

you have to be specific as to carby make , model cubic ft capacity etc to get a kit
try e-bay carby kits for the make or find a carby overhaul shop in your area and get the kits from them

If they sent you the wrong diagram, then that's probably also the wrong kit - do the gaskets match up?

Worst case, you could use a different carburetor on that car... or if you're ingenious, you could make your own rebuild kit for the carburetor you have.

sorry you cant add 5 hp by changing the carby jet, jets are changed to get the air mixture right, if the mixture was wrong you might change it and get 1 hp, but to increase by 25%, would need modifications to the engine, carb and exhaust
