SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Lens problems

This is an awkward one. If you were clever enough to replace or repair the lens assembly you wouldn't be writing here so all I can advise is to have a very close look at the lens and see if you can notice any slight variation in it's positioning. If you can see part of the lens is pushed slightly to the left then with a very fine blade lever the lens from the left to the right and at the same time switching on. It's often easier to get someone else to do the switching on and off for you. Make sure the batteries are fully charged too. If you can get the lens to come out a little way then keep trying and it's possible it will realign and start working. Of course it's possible you've fractured a nylon gear or two so that will be a specialist job. All I can tell you is that if you can't get the thing to work yourself it's going to be very expensive. Maybe another check on Ebay for a transplant possibility. BMW

LENS ERROR simply means there is a problem with the lens.
If the description is more detailed it would help.
Type of camera in the post always will help.
When the error started is helpful as well as how long you had the camera, as how it has been treated, did it ever get dropped, or had an impact of any kind?

Remember that digital cameras are very fragile, and should always be treated as if they are eggs, so to speak. Also the LCD is very easy to break if thrown into a purse, or some other carry bag. The camera should always be used with the wrist strap around the wrist, and put back into a padded case when done.
Lens errors can result in a number of problems.
The lens may be out of sync, or the guides internally could be off track.
Some of the internal parts, such as the gears could be broken (you will usually notice a grinding or other noise if this is the case).
There could be some dirt or sand in the track, thus causing the lens to stop or jam.
If the lens is cocked to one side, that is usually the result of an impact when the lens is extended. Sometimes this can be fixed by gently pushing the opposite direction when starting the camera.

Take care,

SOURCE: Lens Error on Nikon Coolpix

Sometimes removing the batteries for a day may correct the problem temporarily. But the real problem is really in the lens mechanism. "Lens error"can only be repaired by Nikon or an authorized repairman. I sent mine back in Dec. 2007. It was repaired free of free of charge under the warranty. It was fixed and returned very fast.
The same problem just reoccurred and I sent it back to Nikon this very morning. They told me this is not a problem with this model, but I beg to differ. My internet search revealed that this apparently is a problem with many Nikon lens mechanisms.

This is probably THE single most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

See my posts on this problem. By forcing the lens with you fingers into the camera, it may put it on track. This can damage the camera even further, but may be worth a try. You can try to pull it out when starting, and then pushing in on turning it off.
Worth a try, may work.
