Can you tell if the compressor is coming on? It has a distinctively low tone? If it does come on does it stay on? Is the filter clean? You may need to clean the coils.you can take a flashlight to see if the coils are clean above where the filter was. A clean unit is very essential. With a household sprayer some mild cleaner like simple green and safety glasses you can clean the coils yourself. After saturating thoroughly with solution, rinse with two whole bottles of water. If all of these things have been met., you may have a refrigerant problem. If it comes to that it would necessitate calling a Certified EPA Tech. Good luck

Mini Cooper 2002 overheated, fan fuse keeps blowing

The most common cause for the cooling fan fuse to blow is a bad cooling fan motor. The failng motor will draw an excessive amount of current which actually heats up the fuse and melts it. Now if your fuse is blowing the instant the cooling fan(s) turn on, then that could be a "dead short". either inside the cooling fan motor or in the wiring going to it. Follow and inspect the wiring leading to the cooling fan motor. Check for any broken, cracked or burnt wires. If you don't see any of that, then you'll probably need a new motor. If you think you can tackle the job, most auto parts stores sell generic replacement cooling fan motors much less than you would pay at the dealership.
WARNING! - some cooling fan motors are easy to get to, and others are very difficult. Study yours carefully and then decide if you want to tackle the job before you start tearing it apart.

Cooling fan fuse

most likely the cooling fan has a short in it. disconnect the connector on the fan. If it doesn't blow now its the fan motor. If it still blows you have a short from the fuse to the motor. What this means is the hot wire is touching bare metal somewhere

Radiator cooling fan 30 amp. fuse keep blowing

The fan may run with jumper wires but if it''s blowing the 30 Amp Maxifuse it's needs a new or used fan motor. It's pulling too many amps.I have almost never seen a fan relay concern.Only other thing you may check is the wiring down near the fan shoud I have seen the 2 wires get loose from the conduit & melt onto exhaust manifold.Hope tHis Helps

Sunpentown SF-609 Evaporative Air Cooler - no cool air

Sometimes there is a separate switch to turn on the water pump. No water=no cooling. Check to make sure the cooling pads are wet! If they are completely wet and the fan is blowing it should cool.
