Re: Sony wega 55" six red flashes and will not power up?

I think what you have there is a thermal fuse problem... Common in that model, Sony p/n# 1-910-023-93, and I can't remember if that gets you just a fuse or some sort of kit... Seems to me it has a connector and cable that was part of it..
The fuse though is a 102c 1a 250v and it's a bit of a tight squeeze installing it with removing the light engine.
Hope this helps!

Power light flashes green likes it turning on then flashes red 3 times. I just replaced lamp Sony Grand Wega KDF-55E2000

3 blinks should on this model mean "LAMP DOOR IS NOT CLOSED" BUT IT really means something else.

Can I assist you?

I can tell you how to prove this or not and if proved it is a simple and not expensive repair..

I have a 55" sony

According to the manual (you can see it here) page 122 that describes 3 red flashing lights:

"The lamp cover is not attached securely. When you secure the lamp cover, the POWER / STANDBY light flashes in red and the LCD projection TV enters the standby mode (see page22)"

Page 22 says:

"... if the POWER / STANDBY light flashes continuously, this may indicate the display unit needs servicing..."

Most DLP displays make use of a "color wheel". These small motors spin at many thousands of RPM. They often begin to make scratching sounds when they are beginning to fail. Some manufacturers make it difficult to change yourself - and others make it pretty easy.

I hope this was at least a good starting point for you & good luck. Please rate my reply. Thank you.

My tv won't turn on anymore. The red light flashes 6 times then pauses for a couple seconds then starts flashing six times again. Just keeps doing it repeatedly

try unplugging the tv and waiting a minute and try it again if its still the same? It sounds like a Capicitor problem on the Power supply.

Tv won't turn on...light flashes red 6 times

According to Sony's diagnostic chart, a six blink code means the plus/minus 17 volt line is not being supplied from the G1 board. (The Power Supply). I would replace the G1 board and that should fix your problem.
I hope this helps,

MY wega 42inch wont turn on...the little green light flashes like five time as if it where to turn on but never does...and then it turns red and flash six times pauses and then again the red light flashes...

Six blinks indicates a faulty power supply. often caused by open thermistor located at under lamp assembly or beside it. Or a defective regulator on power supply section.. Check the thermistor and replace if found defective.. Or contact the nearest Sony service center at your area.

The power red light keeps flashing six times

The blink code means that something on the board is over current/over voltage. It could be an overload of the +5 line (A/B boards) or the +5 line is shorted.

The TV needs to be opened up and the boards checked. You may be lucky and only need a thermal fuse. Also check your bulb.

I hope this helps.
