Question about Whirlpool LER4634J Electric Dryer

Whirlpool elec dryer starts when button pushed, but stops when button released . Has happened before, but seemed to solve itself.

There is a centrifugal switch on the motor that maintains power to the motor if the motor is indeed spinning and the belt intact. If your belt isn't broken, check the switch.

Sounds like lint in the motor switch . If possible , remove front panel and drum and blow lint from motor .

I have an old whirlpoos elec. dryer whilch worked


it could be a broken drum drive belt, or a bad motor or motor start capacitor

Dryer stops when I release push to start button


Timer may need to be replaced. You can test it with an ohmmeter or test light.
You can do the same with the push button. If you have more problems, then the main control could be faulty

Kenmore Dryer stop running when release the start button


I have whirlpool dryer, when i push the start button it will start but only stay on for part of the drying time. no the start button make noise when push and after keep trying it stop.
