Please....don't expect us to give you a crash course in digital photography. You got an owner's manual with this camera....read it carefully. The beginning of the manual has a quick start guide to get you started taking pictures right away.
is this possibly the standby mode? or maybe it's just off. going through your owner's manual would definitely clear up any questions you'd have. if you've lost it, check the manufacturer's website for an online copy of it.
On Page 55 of the Nuvi Owner's Manual it states to check with your state and local traffic laws before mounting and that currently state laws in California and Minnesota prohibit suction mounts on the windshield. No mention of any other states. Your Nuvi Owner's manual is contained in your Nuvi and is also available as a download from Garmin.com
thats the cap.the capacitor is used to jump start single phase motors.if the capacitor is shot the motor barley does anything.if you can find any # or markings on it take it to radio shack and match it up.
