Kitchen Aid range Breaker always tripping ERROR F5:E3

Hello Everyone ,

I have a electric KitchenAid range KESC307 that my mom gave me that was working perfectly before he was moved to my house. Each time i plug it in the wall , the breaker trips and the error F5:E3 comes out.

I had a electricien neighbor that just came in and said that there were electricity on the ground each time he plug it in.He tested the wall switch and said that the wall plug was ok.If wee plug it without the ground ,on the panel , everything seems to work normally.I checked at the back panel and no wire seemed to be damaged , touching to metal , and the ground wire was welled plugged.

I am broke , without any work , and just want to make myself a nice lasagna.

Plz help.
Terry

The elements or a hot wire feeding the control switches has been bumped and is grounded. You can probably find it with a thorough visual inspection. Look very close at the wiring and look for something pinched or touching metal.

Where is the burnt fuse/tripped breaker located on the oven

On most ovens the fuse is down underneath your oven . If your oven has a drawer in it , than pull it out and the fuse should be under there in that area.

My kitchenaid range KESC307HBS door will not unlock code F5 E3

Hi ad welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly
Here is the service manual:
http://appliancedigest.com/index.php?/files/file/242-whirlpool-kac-34-kitchenaid-self-cleaning-slide-in-electric-range-service-manual You have to join the site to get the manual but of all sites this one is a gold mine of information. I am sending this link now and will respond again after my almost 3 hour manual download of the manual. I have to read the manaul myself before responding. My intial thoughts are the following: Possible door lock failure, an oven sensor has failed or a high limit thermostat has failed. I will resond with the code F5 E3 data after the manual completes. Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

F5:E1 error

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

KitchenAid KEDT105V Electric Stove - f-5 beep Started beeping out of the blue, pushed cancel and it stops for 20 seconds then continuous beeping. If the oven is on the beeping will stop. Hope you can help,...

Hi, F5 means your control board may have suffered a fatal error. Unplug the unit for 30 seconds, when the power is re-applied if the error comes back you will need to replace the control board (ERC). Mike

F5 Board failure Replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Kitchen aid slide in range - oven stopped working

Wynco, first thing I'd check is whether or not you are getting the 220 volts the unit needs. Find the circuit breaker and turn it off and then back on. This should be a dual or linked breaker. The breakers do corrode and wear out and may need to be replaced.
