Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
I have a musty smell that won't go away on my three year old duet. After some internet research, I found that my front load washer has brown mucky stuff behind the rubber seal (actually on the back side of the drum). How do you get to that area to clean this off? Do I need to pay someone to do this, or can I attempt this on my own? Seems like I would have to remove the top of the washer or go in through the back. This is the only way that I will be able to get rid of the moldy, musty smell.
Thanks for your help
Run it a couple times on hot water with bleach in it. Should help. Also run through with dishwasher detergent in it. This helps clean too. I leave door ajar to allow air in washer. You can also purchase cleaner just for this at parts place.
