Hi,
Make sure the write protect lock is off by taking the card out of the camera, face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab down, it will be at the side of the card like this Cannot format the card for my Easyshare C913 - 59a6de4.jpg .

Regards.

Internal memory full

Internal memory is full after you shot only a few pictures Actualy you only have 11 Megabyte free for pictures. If you want to make more pictures, you have to insert a SD memory card. Make sure you buy a SD and not a SDHC or SDXC card, because nothing in the manual says your camera is compatible with these bigger cards.
If you happen to have a SDHC card you are free to try if it works, but don't buy one unless you are sure it works.

Need a memory card

The C913 works with any SD card. Make sure you get an SD card, 2GB and smaller. The camera will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

My kodak easysharecamera keeps saying the memory card needs to be

I'm having the exact same problem! I have formatted 2 SD cards on the computer and it still didn't work. Every time I've tried formatting on the camera, it says it is and then says again that it needs to be formatted. I even went out and bought a whole new Kodak SD card, thinking I just needed a Kodak one, but no luck.
I can't help, but I was just wondering if you ever got the problem solved because I really would like to know.

Will not format memory card

How to format the memory card in my camera? NOTE this will delete all existing data on your card.
  1. Do the following:
  2. Insert the memory card into the camera. Make sure the card is firmly seated (push in the card until it clicks into place).
  3. Turn on the camera.
  4. Press the Menu button, then go to the Setup Menu.
  5. Scroll up or down to the Format option, then press the OK button
If you still experience problems:
The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.
Please turn the lever and try again.

The SD card might not be supported by the model: Your camera Memory card support is SD/MMC up to 1 Gigabyte

The SD card might not be faulty, try another card, since the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.
Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.
After you having successfully switched over to saving onto the SD card. I would guess that you would like to transferre the pictures from your internal memory over to the SD card.:

When I install a memory sd disk, the camera says it needs to format. I format it and it then says it has to format. It just keeps saying that it has to format and wont alow me to take any pictures at all,...

    Hello,

Try to format the memory card on your computer first. After that, test the camera and see if it can detect the memory card.

To format the memory card on your computer, you need to have a card reader or a memory card slot on your PC. Once your mmc gets detected, go to My Computer and then right click on the Memory card and then click Reformat. Choose default settings and then check Quick Format.

Let me know how it goes.

If you connected the camera to the computer with a USB cord to download your pics and then just yanked out the cord without using the "safely remove hardware" icon at the bottom right corner of your screen, the card may have been corrupted. Replace it.
