I am trying to decipher your message / question here.

The first part of your question:

"THE SYNC NEVER WORKED i AM TRYING TO GET MY CONACT LIST VERIZON TOLD ME i COULD NOT AND ENTERED A CLAIM TO GET ME A NEW PHONE"

Sounds like you are trying to move your contact list from one phone to another correct? I am not sure what it is you are syncing? The phone to your computer? Are you trying the back up the phone book to your computer?

Verizon will transfer all of your contacts and pictures in a Verizon store for free, they have done this many times for phones on my account and friends accounts as well. I would go in person to have them do this for you when you get your new phone (if you haven't already, I can't tell from your question).

The next part of your question appears to be:

"i NEED THE CONTACT INFO THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT AWIRELESS SYNC APLICATION"

Who's contact information are you looking for? If it's Verizon's then you will want to go to:

http://www22.verizon.com/customersupport/contactus/

and select the type of contact information you are looking for.

Also, who was it that told you about a wireless sync application? If it's for your phone please tell me what model phone you have.

Lastly, we come to your last comment:

"YOU CAN NOT SEE THE TOUCH SCREEN AND IDEAS"

Not sure what you mean here at all, are you saying the screen on your phone doesn't come up? It this why you are replacing the phone? If you can't see the screen at all then you definitely will not be able to wirelessly sync the phone, you will definitely want to go in to a local Verizon shop and have them do the data transfer for you.

Thanks

Tim

Hello Kafshar,

Open the phone and click the Menu button. Note the center keypad above the numerical keys can click up, down, left and right.

Click the center keypad left until you see the "Messaging" option.

My phone shuts off by itself several times a day. It has even shut itself off during a call. I am constantly checking to make sure it's still on.

What firmware version do you have? Go to "Menu | Settings & Tools | 0. Phone Info | 2. SW/HW Version" and check the {SW Version] shown.

I'm on Verizon, and I've got firmware version 05 (shown as "VX920V05")

Two possible things to try that I've seen suggested:

    (1) get a new software update if you don't have the latest version. This has to be done at a Verizon store - they take your phone and updated it with the new firmware;

    (2) Turn off, remove battery, and check battery contacts. If the battery is only making intermittent contact, or if it disconnects briefly when shocked or bounced, this could cause the phone to power down. Clean contacts with a clean eraser (blow out the eraser-dust bits...) and try again.

I've seen both of these suggested, and some people who have claimed one or the other worked, but also some who have tried these and still have the problem. So if one or both of these don't work, you could take the phone back and ask for an exchange.

How do I synch outlook 2003 with iphone

You didn't say whether you're trying to sync everything (mail, calendars, contacts) or just some things or one thing (like contacts only). I don't know if you're using an Exchange server or even if you have the info you'll need to sync with an Exchange server.

I have a Windows mobile device (AT&T Tilt) running Outlook 2007 and everything is sync'd. We also started purchasing the iphone for our employees and sync their email, calendar and contacts to their phone.

I could probably give you step-by-step information (based on how I do this for my users at work) if I knew whether you'll use iTunes to do this or Exchange Active Sync and what you want to sync between your phone and outlook. One method (iTunes) will only update your data between Otulook and the phone when you connect it to the computer with Outlook configured on it but, the way we do it at work, they receive email, data, changes, etc in real time.

    Try using this link http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/mail/

What you will find here is support topics and instructions for Exchange Active Sync, setting up email accounts, troubleshooting for contact and calendar syncing.

You can also search support on Apple's Web site. Entering the keywords: iphone outlook 2003 will bring up a lot of support info.

You can use iTunes or MobileMe for synchronization. If using iTunes then try this:

You can configure which items are synchronized during a one time set up process. After initial set up, each time you connect the iphone to your computer, the changes made on your computer or device are synchronized.

    1. Connect your iPhone to your computer. iTunes should open automatically.
    2. In iTunes, in the source list, under Devices, click the entry for your iPhone.
    3. Click the Info tab.
    4. Select which items you would like to sync. For example to sync only calendars, under Calendars, you would click Sync calendars from, and then click Outlook.
    5. Do one of the following:
    • To synch all calendars, click All Calendars.
    • To limit the calendars that are synched, click Selected calendars and then click the calendars you want to sync.
    6. Click Apply.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for using Fixya and you can let me know how helpful I've been by rating this solution.

    Syncing with PC (windows xp)

Without seeing the error files, it's hard to say what the problem is, here's a few guesses 1. Did you type your contacts into the default contact list? This is the one at the top of the Outlook folder list. You should NOT create a subfolder because ActiveSync by default only synchronizes that one file. 2. You may have an antivirus or internet security program that is preventing ActiveSync from synching. This would show up in the error log. To try this, turn off: - Any firewall programs (including the Windows default one) - Any antivirus programs - Any internet security programs If this solves your problem you should add them back one by one to isolate the issue. Then when you find the problematic program, manually add ActiveSync to the list of always allowed applications.
