Look between the battery and gril there will be ablack knob like turn it to the left and pull out when replacing the bulb try not to touch it with bear hands. the oils will make it burn out faster. If it is a seal beam then look for the screws on the out side of the light and remove them then headlight will come out forward and unplug it.

check your fuses which are on the drivers side on left side of the lower portion of the steering column. they should be labled. sounds like a fuse is blown.

I don't know if this will work for you, but you might want to try what works for other vehicles turn the ignition key to the run position not start push down on the gas pedal three times slow then turn off the key. Again, this works for several other GM vehicles, hopefully it works for yours.
