Question about Dell Inspiron 2600 Inspiron 2650 DVD Drive 4X730- 04X730 CD-ROM Drive
Celestia534 - i share your sentiments. have you looked into running regedit and taking out the upper and lowerlimit files. didn't work for me. i've tried fixing this damn thing for years and no luck. it happened after the driver was updated but either way, i think i'm finally going to buy a used one. yeah, sux. now that the laptop itself is only worth twice that much.
mine recognized in file explorer and makes it through the troubleshooting finely. but when i try to use it, "NO HAPS."if i try to update it or install it using a software from the web, "driver is not connected."
if you know how to fix this, let me know. my email will alert me you responded to this, i think. if not, i'll just get the used one. man, and i only need to use it long enough to install linux on it.
