My Averatec 3200 has no sound? what do i do?

a Few years ago before the tool was automated or commercialised you would reformatt using a utility called "Fdisk" you might still be able to get hold of this utility

A common problem with all laptop is dust. Sounds like you have 5 years worth of dust stuck in there. You should get a can of compressed air and blow though every vent you can! You want to loosen the dust that's in there and possibly try to blow it out and/or get it closest to the vents.

After that you should take a vaacum cleaner and **** out all the dust you can!

Dust inhibits air flow, alot! Its the number 1 killer of old computers.

you must remove the mainboard completely from the laptop case to repair it .

Yes..most probably its HDD. Remove the hrddisk and try booting. If it displays, no HDD.then the prob lies with HDD.

i need drivers for averatec 3200

I had that problem until 1 month ago. I installed service pack 3 for XP.
I also updated j2.com (or efax.com) Messenger to the latest version.

uninstall the drivers for the wireless card then run windows live update the wireless card should be found and the drivers should d-load and then install themselves if that doesn't work try resetting your router or modem for the internet... sometimes certain computers in a house will receive a signal, and you might get the signal as well but the computers are messing around with the wireless... this happens more with belkin routers just restart the router and just run that one computer on the wireless network and it should start working. then you can allow all the other computers back onto the network
