The three light flash indicates a short circuit between the left motor(as you are sitting in the chair)and the battery. Check all the wiring from the control box to the motor and make sure it is not damaged in any way. If it is okay, you have most likely fried the left side motor. A new motor-gearbox assembly for this chair runs in the neighborhood of $1,400.00, or you can take the motor off and take it in for a full rebuild for about $250 or so. Unplug the joystick and remove the seat and cowl. Jack up the left side with both motors in gear. Remove the center nut cover and take off the nut holding on the wheel taking care to retain the key that slides into the groove on the axle. Disconnect the wiring plug to the motor and remove the six bolts holding the motor to the frame. Separate the gearbox from the motor and take the motor to a rewind shop for repairs. Reinstall and it should be good to go.

Did you replace both batteries? How old is the chair? Sometimes the on-off keypad becomes worn and does not make contact with the on-off switch. When charging the joystick lights can light up but after unplugging they should remain on. When you plug in the charger look under the rear cover at the charger you should see 2 lights, one red and one yellow to indicate that you are charging the chair if you do not see both lights lit then the charger is bad or has a blown fuse. Only a Tech will be able to tell what is wrong. If Medicare purchased your chair then they will pay for most of repair costs. Contact your provider or a repair service company

Make sure all of your connections are tights and the your fuses do not need to be replaced.

Blinking lights on the controller usually indicates a problem, the number of blinking lights are used to diagnose the problem. Take a look at this website to identify the type of controller you have on your scooter so you can dtermine what the blinking lights are trying to indicate.

SOURCE: Had the Pronto M91 invacare wheelchair in the Push

You definitely need new batteries. After that amount of time the batteries go bad and the plates inside become sulfated. They are only good as boat anchors now.
It is a easy do it your self repair. There are 2, Group 22 batteries in this model. You want to get deep cycle sealed lead acid, preferably AGM (advanced glass matt) group 22 batteries.
Flip the seating system back by releasing the lever under the front of the seat.Make sure you do not pinch the joystick wiring at the back when you do this.
Remove the black plastic cover.
The batteries will be secured by a strap which you should unbuckle.
Disconnect the plugs to the batteries and note how they are run, oriented and connected.
Pull out the batteries, one at a time, from the base.
Make the wiring connections to the battery , put the batteries back in the chair, plug everything in and you are set to go. Hope this helps.

How to recharge but I get a flashing red light on transformer in battery box. this is a Invacare Pronto M91 Electric Wheelchair

The red light on the transformer/Charger means the charger is bad. Sometimes it can also be battery harness wiring. Most often it is the charger that needs replaced.

Pronto M6 chair will not work. When the power switch is turned on, the LED light flash Red followed by three Green. I can't find what this error code meas.... Pls Help thanks Phil

Phil the red means battery is low and the green is a speed limit code because of the low battery if you have charged your batteries and you still get the red then you need to check the charger after charging all night does the yellow light on the charger turn green? if when you first plug in the charger if the red light is on and the other light is green then there is a problem with the wiring or connection to the batteries from the charger and you aren't charging the batteries. if when you plug the charger in and you get a red and yellow light then the charger is working but you don't ever ge a green light and the battery level gauge is still showing red then you need to replace the batteries Hope this helps

My m91 apears to be charging, then goes to solid green like it's fully charged. I turn it on to go and have full green on the meter, but it runs down fast. If I leave it on the charger too long, I get the...

Randal the problem sounds like a battery issue. If after charging you get a green light on the charger and the batteries run down quickly there is one or both of the batteries that is weak and cannot handle the load required by the motors. If Medicare paid for your chair contact the provider that sold you your chair and ask them to come replace the batteries. They should then bill Medicare for the batteries. Hope this helps
