Hi,
Pull out the battery and try to boot it on AC power only, if it boots up turn it back off reinsert the battery and try to boot again, if it does not boot then they maybe a problem with the battery.

My laptop overheating and screen turns off then shut down, also the battery dont last more than ten minutes

Hi:
HP Pavillion has the tendency to get hot while in use, I don't think there is nothing wrong with it, You can buy one of those pads with fans if you want to, but that is not a guarantee that will increase the battery function time. You can do the following to replenish the battery and increase it's life...Without turning on your computer charge the battery until the green light comes on, then disconnect the charger and turn on your computer and let the computer on until the battery ran out of juice, ( During this period Do Not use your Computer). Then charge the lap top again without turning it on when the green light comes on, you can use the lap top. If this action does not increase the your battery use time, then it's time to buy another battery.
Good Luck

When i turn my lap top on the screen stays black. I can hear that it has turned on but nothing appears. One message shot up but I was unable to read it so I know that its not the actual screen.

Restart the notebook, press F8 to select last known configuration. this will set the notebook to previous date when it was working fine. If the issue persists get back to me.

HP Pavillion 9925nr LCP monitor turns black

Check screen brightness.
On keyboard is normally activated by combined FN + Fx keys (F9 or F10).
Check your keytops and/or your user manual.
Using this feature you should be able to restore a standard contrast on your screen.
If it isn't working the only alternative is external monitor.

Power Light on but screen black

Try powering up with no battery connected. If that works then the battery may be faulty or too old.
