Windows Xp won't start

The most common reason a computer won't start can be a piece of hardware has failed or is causing a problem but that hardware isn't usually a hard drive, the part of your computer that stores all of your files. To fix such kinds of issue, you can take the following steps.1.create a bootable usb or cd ,there are kinds of software for you to complete this step, you can choose Fix Boot,EasyBootDisk or Windows Boot Genius. I suggest you to useWindows Boot Genius, it is easier and more effective.2.boot your computer from the created disk3.fix the issue after run the softwareBy the way, before any further steps you should make sure the power supply is good. Any hardware issues such as pc power and cable, motherboard corrupted should be troubleshooted.I don't suggest you to try the solution above until you are sure there is nothing to do with the hardware.

I have a Dell Optiplex GX1 desktop. I have been unable to start Windows and receive the error message: Windows root system32/ntoskrnl.450L exe failure. How do I correct this problem?

You will have to boot in to repair console from XP cd and run it so it can try to repair the Operating system. Put in cd and restart and if it does not ask to boot to cd u have to change boot order in bios to boot to CD rom first. If all this fails you have to reinstall windows. Hope this helps.

Hi I wantto do the recovery manager process in my Dell optiflex GX1 ,Intel Pentium 111.I want to clean everything in it can u plz help me how to do it

With that machine, it is probably best to just get a copy of windows 2000 pro, and reformat and reinstall the old fashioned way. 2k is very very stable, and will find many of the devices in that older machine. You could easily toss in a large EIDE hard drive and use that machine for local area network storage. The fun part is, you can also learn networking and sharing, so you can share music with every computer at your house (linked to your network, of course).

I have been having some boot problems into windows with my p4s800 mx motherboard. I have purchased it with a 3,0 ghz cpu and put it together yesterday, after which I tried to boot it. It works on lets say...

The BIOS utility probably has a setting for the BIOS to automatically detect and maintain your CPU's clock speed. Make sure that is ON or ENABLED. Another probable reason for the failure may be your RAM settings. Again, use the automatic detection of your memory's speed and latency settings.
One last probable reason may that you may be using different kinds of memory SIMMS or DIMMS. Some boards are very finicky and will not work efficiently with different types, if at all. Others will simply not work.

Cannot boot up from CD-Rom with Win 95 and Win 98

You probably have a version of windows 98 that was not bootable on CD. You would need to boot from a windows 98 floppy bootup disc, then go the the d:\win98 directory and run setup from there.
