Is this to mean that it overflows onto the floor? Do you have to turn off the supply valves to stop it? or will it stop when the knob is turned off?

You have a hose that goes from the bottom of your outer tub to a presure switch . This is also your water level switch. Sometimes your hose comes off but you could have a bad switch. You need to use a meter to check that.

If the machine has been used for washing heavily soiled or greasy clothing; the hose to the pressure switch could be clogged at or near the tub end. Empty the tub, pull off the hose, and run a coat hanger up it a foot or so, then test.

Both of the electric windows have stopped working on my 2 door ford focus

Try spraying some electrical contact cleaner into all of the switches on the main controll on the drivers door. With the vehicle running ignition on . It s likely just a bad connection water gets in between the window glass and the switches . If that dosn't work remove the main switch and clean the contacts and it will work again.

My ewf1481 will not fill, there dosn't seem to be power getting to solenoid valve which I replaced. Any help would be great. Thanks, Kim.

Hello Kim,

If you have checked and found that the water valve do not have 120 volts to it, yet the motor will come on for spin cycle? the water level switch or as it also is called the pressure switch is defective and it needs replacing

Fills with water but dosn't start have changed

This would likely be caused by a defective washer lid safety switch.

Water does not stop filling with water

The possibility is faulty water inlet valve. The valve lets the water to enter the machine. But if this valve is got weak/faulty then it will not stop the water from entering. If the water fill vale is checked ok then other possibility is faulty water fill valve switch. The switch detects the required water in the washing machine and shuts the fill valve off,but if the switch is faulty then it will not shut the water fill valve off and this will not stop the water from filling and this overfills the water. So most cases the water fill valve is faulty and it has to be replaced. But if the fill valve is checked ok then other possibility is faulty water fill valve switch. It's usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. To get required parts ,you can get it from www.repairclinic.com . Keep updated if any more queries.Thanks.

Doesnot stop filling water

To javed_iqb904, does the drum actually fill or does it seem like that water is draining out as it's filling?

To neonllama19, if it fills with the tap on and the machine off, it sounds like a defective water valve. If it never stopped filling it sounds like a defective pressure switch or hose to the pressure switch is loose or diconnected.

Water doesn't stop filling

If you turn power off to machine (or unplug) and washer continues to fill, you need to replace the water inlet valve. (the part the hoses connect to) If cutting power stops the water fill, you have a problem with the water level switch or the tubing leading to it.

Fill will not stop

you may have a problem with your pressure switch. or sometimes they call it the water level switch.

try to use it in the small level and see if it would stop filling around medium or large quantities of water.

if it would stop filling , then replace the water level sensor.

tnx 4 using fixya,
