My new 10.5 HP 30in. Troybilt riding mower just quit running after trying to go in reverse and forgetting to disengage blades.Cannot get it restarted for anything. Help?

One or more safety switches are not working. Engine off, put it in neutral, disengage the blades. Now sit on it, and try to start it. If that doesn't start the engine then take a multi meter and check for continuity on all the switch locations.

Simplicity Broadmoor only runs for a minute or two and then quits

Check both the air and fuel filters. Either being clogged would give this situation. It could also be dirt in the fuel line. Disconnect at both ends and blow them out. If none of the above helps, then the problem is likely in the fuel pump or carburetor and will take some disassembly.

2 year old craftsman 42" deck tractor runs fine for 15 minutes then sputters and dies. Will start, run 2-3 minutes, die again. Leave sit will run for 20 minutes.

if it restarts immediately, check the vent in the gas cap for restriction. also, the solenoid on the bottom of the carburetor may be sticking or getting weak. if you have to let it sit for awhile before it retarts, the ignition module may be breaking down when it heats up. i'd bet on the gas cap or solenoid though

Engine quites

Next time the mower quits, immediately unscrew the gas cap and try to restart it. If it runs straight away without a cap, you've found the problem - a clogged gas cap vent.

Clean the vent and you'll be able to run with the gas cap in place.

Good luck !

My mower starts and runs great when cold but dies when hot. It will restart but won't stay running until it cools off again.

How old is your mower ? Sounds like points and condensor if older model ,or ignition module if its newer , points tend to stick together when they get old causing no spark at plug when they cool they come appart allowing it to spark again , module is sort of the same except you have no way of replacing points you have to replace module .
