Machine filling up with water but not starting hoover 750la

Hoover suggests that the water fill valve(s) may be turned off. Error 2 means It cannot fill correctly according to their owners manual.

If the noise is only when this function of filling, and if you are only using one of the two fill valves, may be due to the magnets of the inlet valves of the water, which are activated in filling and are disabled when you start the program. that noise is normal unless it is very strong and is the preamble to the damage of the two valves.

lower the waste pipe into a bucket to drain as much water as you can out of the machine, gravity will pull the water out of the machine, continue until it is as empty as possible. Remove front filter which is on the bottom right hand side and check for obstructions.

This is usually caused by the recycling pump running empty whilst the washing is still soaking up the initial fill water. as the water begins to soak the clothes it then starts to pass through the drum into the pump and the whole thing quietens down. running empty will not work. to test this theory try opening the drawer very slightly and filling it manually with a hose before starting the machine, (ONLY TO THE NORMAL LEVEL) and see if the noise is still as bad.

If it's not spinning, the transmission is bad. If it's just not emptying the water, the pump is clogged or bad.

Unless you can replace the transmission yourself, it would be a better bargain to buy a new washer.
