C550 cooling fan not functioning, what can i do to make work?

Hi. Unfortunately there isn't just one cause for your cooling fan to stop working. Your fan is a variable speed unit. It is there to cool both your engine and your air condenser. Have you checked for blown fuses? Does the fan come on either while the A/C is on and Engine Running? You could use a 12V test light to test for power and ground at the fan but a scan tool will be needed to run functional tests.

If it is a Ford product the problem is with the ignition switch!!!!!!!!High cool function bypasses switch, Other speeds do not.

The cooling fan is thermostatically controlled and enerised once the radiator/engine temperature exceeds that of the thermostat controlling th the fan. If the fan is coming on prior to the engine reching the operational temperature, then either the thermostat is not functioning or ha been wired incorrectly into the system the radiator was changed.`

Probably the temperature sending unit...if not that the relays...they should be relatively cheap and easy to replace...

Check the fuses, then the fan relays, after that the coolant temp sensors.
The fans should come on when the AC is engaged so check to see if that part is still functioning.

The fans only run when the engine reaches approxminatly 235 degrees F. on the guage that is near the end of scale just before guage show "HOT" I don't think you have a problem, allot of folks out there don't know about this.
