Husqvarna 325HE4 blades do not move

Borrowed a Husqvarna 325HE4 to try out before buying one. It worked fine first day but now the blades do not move when the engine is started. Tried using WD40 on blades but does not solve problem. Throttle control lever does not engage nor does engine revs increase after starting.Worried as the machine is not mine!!Tks EICondona

Try loosening the bolts up on the blades just enough to allow the washers to move freely a little, spray the blades down (but don't soak them ) with WD40 to lubricate the blades, that should solve it. If that doesn't do it then you may need to pull the gear housing cover off to see if something is jammed.

SOURCE: Starts but won't speed up enough to run

If this is a 2 cycle engine the problem could be that the exhaust is clogged. Most 2 cycle engines have a spark arrestor on the muffler which clogs. could also be the exhaust port from the engine. remove the muffler and check it out.

When you move the lever and engage the blades you are also engaging the belt that drives the blades and sits on top of the mowing deck. Chances are that belt either came off one or more rollers, or broke. The only way to check it out is to get down and look on the top of the mowing deck. Get back and let me know what you find.

Husqvarna Proflex 21 just stopped engaging the blades after bump over brick. Was working fine, on starting the next cut the engine goes well, lever works but no mower blades turn when lever lowered. T

Sounds like you have broken a shear pin in the drive pulley.
Shear pins are made to break if you hit something. Other wise it would cost a lot of money to repair the damage.

Engaging the blade kills the motor how to fix

jack up the mower and see if the blades will turn by hand freely. If hot you could have something stuck in there or a seized bearing.

WHY WILL MY BLADE NOT WORK ON MY HUSQVARNA RIDE MOWER AFTER HITTING METAL BAR

Sounds like the large nut on top of the spindle may have loosened up or the splines on the pulley are chewed up. Turn the blade and try to hold the pulley on top. If the blade turns and the pulley doesnt, its one of the two things I just described.

I have a Husqvarna GT 2548 with a 25 hp Kohler eng. Engine idles fine and drives fine until I engage blades , then it bogs down. It is really bad if I am moving up an incline. I checked the blades and...

The governor regulates the engine speed and when a load is applied that would slow the engine it is the governor's job to open the throttle to maintain the speed. It also limits the maximum engine speed to a safe level. As a user of the machine you should have formed an idea about whether the governor is working correctly.

If the governor linkage moves freely against the spring(s) and the maximum revs of the engine are about right no adjustment should be attempted and the fault probably lies elsewhere, most likely fuel starvation though bad ignition or valve timing, tight valve clearances or partially blocked exhaust can affect power output.

A back-to-basics approach is usually the best if the problem has built gradually but if it happened suddenly I suggest you begin by thoroughly cleaning the carb.

Sounds like the bar is to tight. There should be a cover and 2 studs, loosen the nuts and then look for an adjusting screw at the back of the bar and back it off.The chain should have about 1/8 slack when pulled from the bottom of the bar.A tight chain will heat the bar and turn it blue close to the chain guide.A new bar will be required. Thank you for using FixYa .
