Check the filters. Flow Indicator: Turn Indicator cap counter-clockwise, remove rotor, next remove filter. Clean the filter and replace items in reverse order. Additionally, now is a good time to clean the Lint Filter on the tank cap. These filters are recommended to be cleaned after each use. Hope that helps, if not Bissell Consumer Care can be reached at 1-800-237-7691.

SOURCE: Bissell power shoot carpet cleaner

It sounds like the heater may be plugged. This is a problem for an experienced technician. The heater is located in the handle and they are prone to plugging at the tubing connections. The heater is heating soap and water solution and this can cause the soap to coagulate and plug the lines. It must be addressed carefully to avoid damaging the heater.

The wand will dispense water but no water is dispensing through the floor mechanism.

The User Guide gives you steps for reduced spray or no spray. But, I have seen some pinched hoses as the cause that can fixed by simply removing the hose completely and straightening it out. The Guide reminds you that the Bladder may be empty, the Heater tank may be empty, the tanks may not be seated completely, or my favorite the filter may be clogged. If you haven't been cleaning the filter after each use this may be a start. The first is where is it? There are actually two filters: One is located on the tank cap. It looks like a screen. Clean any particles that may have collected on it. The second is under the Flow Indicator: Turn the FLow Indicator cap counter-clockwise to remove it, remove the rotor, then remove the filter. Clean the filter and replace items in reverse order. If after that you still have a problem you can contact Bissell Consumer Care at 1-800-237-7391.

The water is not coming out to clean the floor

Your unit uses water, correct? I have a Proheat 2X and it wouldn't dispense water. I tried the Water Rinse setting and found water came out and was suctioned properly, but on the Light Clean, Normal Clean, and Heavy Traffic settings, the unit failed to do anything. Problem may be with leaving the soap dispenser in-place, which might scum up the tubing.

SO, an alternative to throwing out my unit and buying somethign else was to put one capful of the Bissell soap in the water resevoir and keep the unit on Water Rinse. IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY NOW. Don't know if this will help, but at least I didn't have to buy a new unit. Rinse everything after using and there's been no problem.
