I am having the same problem with transmitting. I've tried resyncing, made sure the tube wasn't stopped up, made sure it had a full charge. Nothing seems to work.

I can hear the other party, but they cannot hear me. The mute button is not on.

  • matibbs1 Jan 04, 2008

I'm having the same problem. To be honest, I can't determine if my mute button is on or off. The manual says when pressing the two volume buttons for muting, that there should be two ascending tones. I only get one, so I'm assuming that the mute buttons isn't working.

I would greatly appreciate a solution to this problem.

My H700 is doing the same thing... I can hear them fine, but I sound muffled or like I'm in a tunnel. I think I figured out the problem, but do not know how to solve it! I used it all summer while working outside in high temperatures. With sweating and/or wearing make up, I believe the microphone is clogged. I was able to actually clean some build up (gross) out just by pressing @ the mic. I think the problem could be solved if I knew how to safely clean it...

  • GratefulRog Jan 25, 2008

The same thing happens to me--the other person says I sound muffled. The problems stems from the location of the microphone--it's on the little gray dimple on the flip-out instead of on the very end of the flip-out. While I'm wearing it, the microphone presses into my cheek thereby covering the microphone hole. I'm not a big guy--it seems to be just how it sits on my ear. I'm waiting for a response from Motorola, but it's seems like it's a design flaw.

Look in the mirror while wearing it--do you have the same issue??

My H700 is doing the same thing. I can hear them fine, but I sound low or like I'm in a tunnel. I thought I figured out the problem, but do not know how to solve it! . I believed the microphone was clogged. I was able to actually clean some build up dirt and dust out just by pressing on the rubber part of the mic. I think the problem could be solved if I am able to replace it...

I had a problem where I can hear other people but they can not hear me. It was the blue wire in the microphone side was cut.

  • kruzcad May 23, 2009

I've had my Motorola H700 for over a year, and all of a sudden my callers cannot hear me. The thought occurred to me that the boom is the only active (swing out) part to this earpiece, and sooner or later it's going to wear out... makes sense to me.
By the time you try and figure out how to fix this, you might as well search the net to find a new one. I wouldn't advise the overseas models which apparently are copies, but if you look around you can find these for around $22 or less... holiday sales, etc.

This is how I fixed the same problem on mine. I wear it outdoors all the time and it probably got wet and deteriorated the foam on the mic.

Keep in mind the mic folds out and turns the power on and off as well as turning the mic on. ( its a power switch)

So if the on off switch mechanism wears out or is defective
the folding mic doesnt work but the earphone part continues to work. get another one cheap @ www.n1wireless .com

Well, I had the same problem as above. Mrfikzit gave me the idea to take the boom apart. I found that the red wire had worn to the point that it broke in half. Oh well, at least I got a year out of it. I was trying to strip the wire and solder it and it broke even further while stripping!! Guess I'll fall back to my H500 - old reliable!

How to use my H700 after charging ?

If tv is bluetooth capable, look under menus and pair with H700.
Phones if initially paired will simply need to have bluetooth 'active' (as by default it is usually off). - If not pair - you will need to go through menus under 'settings' to pair with the H700 (also at this point indicate that the H700 is 'trusted device').

My H700 bluetooth, I can hear caller but they can't hear me!

The average life of a Bluetooth Earpiece is usually a few years. When you are having symptoms like you are describing it usually means that the Blutooth headset is at the end of its service life. You might want to cintact Motorola and see if they will Warranty them.

Problems w/H700 bluetooth

Try taking a small needle and gently clearing out the mike hole near the end of the boom. Anything I am outside and sweating a lot mine will clog up and I have the same trouble until I clean it out and then it's fine. Do not insert the needle in very far, all you need is to clear the outside opening a bit.

I can hear but cannot be heard.

I have an actual solution... I went to motorola site and found this...

Have questions about your cell phone/mobile device or Bluetooth headset?

Our Call Centers are open from Monday through Friday from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00pm; Saturday and Sunday 9.00 a.m. To 6.00 p.m. (CST)

Please call Motorola customer service at: 1-800-331-6456

When I called I did a quick song and dance with the auto system (just say agent and it goes away) and explained to a "foreign" sounding gentleman what my issue was and after wasting about 5 minutes of my time attempting to get it to work he said they (Motorola) was going to upgrade my headset to the H710 for free. According to him I should have my new headset in less than a week. We shall see.

Problem with Motorola H700 Bluetooth

rhondarenee: If you're using a Motorola RAZR V3, the problem is the cell phone. Also check the volume buttons on H700 that sometimes it goes the volume all the way down. It is a common unnoticed situation. SithPitt
